super-functional
Simple, well-made and inexpensive, the Win Rectangular Brown Bi-cast Leather Ottoman with Shelf was a great way to add a nice-looking piece of super-functional furniture to my apartment without breaking my wallet. Now after a hard day’s work, I have somewhere comfortable to rest my weary feet -- and an extremely convenient place to keep a variety of everyday clutter -- remote controls, magazines, newspapers, books, games, etc. Also, the bi-cast leather looks sharp and is quite easy to maintain and clean.

rest your feet and mind
The ottoman was ordered and delivered in just a few days, and that was during the holiday season. It was a treat to receive an item that needed no assembling at all. Literally, open the box, remove the ottoman and set in place. As others commented, there was very little packaging involved which turned out to be fine. There was no damage and our local landfill had less to contend with. The leather appears to be better than average quality, double stitched and well made. The leather is a VERY dark chocolate brown. Think cocoa without any milk. The bench and legs are not painted brown, they are in fact black. I would rather have it brown but not enough to send it back. I may get inspired to repaint in a rich brown in the future but for now I'm content to let it be. It does sit a little higher (19

Black not brown
This is a nice ottoman, reinforced edges with springy middle area makes for comfy and long lasting foot support. However, the color is black, not brown. Maybe technically it is brown... but... It is darker brown than a semi-sweet chocolate chip. It is darker than the the espresso wooden base it sits on. It is so dark that it is essentially black. Which is too bad. I didn't want a black ottoman. sigh. Not sure what I'm going to do with this now.

exquisitely beautiful
This is an exquisitely beautiful rectangular ottoman that easily doubles as a coffee table. The storage shelving unit is great for magazine, TV remote and game controllers and the brown tone of leather is deep and rich. The legs are sturdy and it can easily take a significant amount of weight. It arrived on time in perfect condition and it the latest in many successful purchased I have made from Overstock. A nice addition to my home decor -- and quite comfortable when I want to kick up my legs for a little relaxation.

Great side or centerpiece
This ottoman is such a stunning piece in person. The leather is really high quality, and you can feel the richness of it when you touch it. The stitching is good, too, and I have a feeling that this ottoman will stand up to the challenging demands of my young family! I love the fact that it has the slatted undercarriage, as it's perfect for storage. I've filled mine with brightly colored storage boxes full of the kids' stuff. It's a great way to keep things handy without having them take over the room. In all, I'm really taken with this piece, and love how versatile it is.

Beautiful coffee table
This coffee table has it all. I love the simple, modern design and it's fairly sizable. Great for families who spend a lot of time on the couch or watching TV. Very fast shipping!

color is black, not brown
We ordered this bench as it was nearly identical to one we already own in a lovely honey brown leather. While accepting that this one would be a darker brown, we weren't prepared for black. The company who shipped it said "impossible, we've never made black" . However, it's black. We chose not to return it, thinking it would be too much of a hassle. I've covered it with fabric to complement the other furniture in the room. It's well made, and it serves us as both coffee table (books, magazines, drinks and appy's), and seating bench for eating at a table when needed; perfect for small homes. If black works for you, I would recommmend it.

Ideal for placing at the foot of my bed
I have this at the foot of my bed for dressing. The shelf is a bonus for me - a big bonus. I have a few fabric-covered boxes on the shelf with some out of season clothing and such stored inside. This couldn't be more useful for me.

Like the Ottoman but not the color
I am happy with the product but not the color. It is black vs chocolate brown. It is well made and fits well in my room. You can sit on it or put your feet up on it. I was a bit disappointed in the packaging as it was torn when it was delivered. That part wasn't damaged but the other leg was scratched a bit and there is a small tear. I kept it because a relative repairs furniture, otherwise I would have returned it for another.

- How accurate was the on site description of the product? I thik the description was very accurate except for the color. I noticed there were other comments saying the same thing about the color being off.

really functional
I am a great fan of ottomans. I have all types and shapes, designs and materials. Usually I order dark brown and black, preferably leather ottomans, but this Win Rectangular Brown Bi-cast Leather Ottoman with Shelf looks so amazing I had to order one for my living. It is not only extremely comfortable but really practical with the shelf, where I can put all my magazines and newspapers.
