You get what you pay for.
I was putting this in my kitchen so I didn't really need an expensive lighting, but the wire is YELLOW and shows through the ring that holds the light to the ceiling. Does not look good at all. Returned.

Love thi chandelier! Bought for daughters bedroom and it looks great for the price! I agree that it looks like a painted silver chandelier but well painted and very light bright and sparkly for my daughters bedroom! Adds a touch of elegance!
