Been on the lookout for a stylish yet child friendly coffee table for 6 mos! We have baby #2 on the way and I wanted a child friendly coffee table, but something that would still look nice when we have guests over. We had to add bumpers to our old coffee table which ended up stripping the finish when I removed them and frankly was not as safe as I would have liked. My son still managed to bang his head and it just screamed "BABY IN THE HOUSE". I like the rounded corners, the flexibility of the wicker when you push against it, and the hydraulic hinges that do not come slamming down on little fingers. I love all the extra storage we now have and I am storing blankets and board games inside which opened up space in our front closet for more coats and shoes. I place a tray on top to hold drinks, remote control, etc. that I can easily lift out of the way when my son wants to play with his toys on the top of the table. As mentioned it is made from "man-made" material so if you are looking for real wood wicker you will be disappointed (however it is very hard to tell unless you look closely). This exceeded my expectations based on my main goal of purchasing child-friendly furniture that didn’t look “childish”.

I ordered this to use as a coffee table in my living room. I have a camel colored sectional and a chocolate brown accent chair. Not only does the weave of this table add visual interest with the pattern, it also ties the colors of my sectional and accent chair together. Although the table is mostly a dark brown, it does have color variations in the weave from the darkest chocolate to a light honey brown. I love this piece in my living room. It looks expensive. I also love that the lid closes with hydraulic arms. My little ones won't smash their fingers. Oh, and there is loads of storage space. Have I mentioned I love this table? If you've been eyeing this piece, buy it. You won't be disappointed.

This works wonderfully as the center of a seating group on our sunporch. The top is a bit springy to set cups or glasses on directly, but works well with a serving tray. We also use it as the ottoman for the rocking swivel chairs in the seating group. The inside is great for storing cushions etc. Only drawback is having to take everything off to get into the storage area.

I have to tell you this has got to be one of the nicest ottomans I have seen. I honestly think it's almost too beautiful to be kept outside. I purchased this for my living room and it looks amazing! I have little ones and safety is extremely important, this ottoman is perfect if you have small children. You won't regret purchasing this item!

This ottoman is beautiful and functional however it is NOT an outdoor storage ottoman. There is no lining in the box so anything stored would become wet. Very disappointing so I had to send it back.

Thie is what I needed for my outdoor seating area because it allowed me to get rid of my useless coffee table and replace it with a matching storage type coffee table.

I am using this product as a coffe table in my small living room to sit in the middle of 2 sofas and a recliner to create a comfortable seating area. I needed something sqaure and something with texture. It needed to serve multiple purposes. I looked all over and stumbled upon this ottoman. The price didnt hurt. It was delivered without damage and adds a pop to the room.

I loved this ottoman.. Its my new coffee table.. Its big and I put all the blankets and pillows that I usually have for guest. I live in New York and Never had a place for those blankets but i do now. Its just as it looks in the picture.. Im using it indoors but the material for the ottoman is great for outdoors as well!

I wanted coffee table/ storage unit that was forgiving if little grandchildren fell against it. I couldn't believe my luck when I saw this spacious hamper/table. It is sturdy and sufficient in six for storage for extra blankets, games or whatever at the cottage. This was a real find!

I was looking for a storage ottoman to hold my children's toys. This ottoman is perfect. It is roomy, sturdy, and has hydraulics in the hinges, so the top won't slam shut. The color is a nice blend of black and dark brown, so it matches lots of different colors and fabrics. As it is not true wicker, it is smooth and not rough to the touch. I would highly recommend this product if space allows.

This ottoman is beautiful, just as everyone else said. It feels solid and of good quality. Some of the weave is very dark brown, almost black; I think it's slightly darker in person than in the picture. Also, because it is woven it's not solid, as in it's slightly "sheer" if the light catches it correctly, but not in a bad way.

Nice looking piece of furniture- perfect size for a sectional ottoman. Seems very sturdy as well.

Ordered this as a coffee table for our living room. We love it! It is a really good size with lots of storage. The outside is also really sturdy and looks very quality with different shades of dark brown. We have a cat and she hasn't been able to damage this w/ scratching since the material is really sturdy and not a true wicker. I also love this b/c it is baby proof (one of the main reasons we bought it). The corners are rounded and it doesn't open and slam shut (has the hydraulics that keep it open until you force it closed) so no damaged fingers! Only downside: Overstock was out of stock so I had to buy it from Amazon.

This well made ottoman has a lot of storage! I love it.
