Nice piece...contemporary yet a little deco. Lot's of compliments.Read More
Not what I was expecting. I got it on sale so I'm going to keep it bit it's pretty cheap looking. The glass over the light bulbs is frosted, not marbled. It's more of a lightweight metal with a fake looking gray color, not satin nickel. It has black plastic pieces that you can see, I'm assuming to cover holes in the metal. The instructions for putting it together and installing it are not very good at all. The wires are not colored so you have to guess which is live and which is ground. I wouldn't recommend this light.Read More
Very stylish light, particularly with upturned lights when used for dining table. This way no guest looks into a light bulb. The finish described as nickel appears to be a sprayed on paint, and one of the cups where the white globes are seated, had a scrape. This might be fixed with a silver paint pen, but since my table is situated beside a window, we turned the fixture so that the scratch can only be seen by a fly on the ceiling. Decided to live with an unseen scratch because the style was so nice, height had pre-calculated in the design so that the light hangs within the 28-36" range above the dining table.Read More
Overall, the product was very shoddy. The only saving grace was that the price was good. Originally I thought I was getting a GREAT deal as my mom has the same style product and paid a much higher price. I guess the saying "you get what you pay for" is true. The product was of great less quality than what I thought.Read More
The light came in decent condition...the finish was a little poor quality in certain areas....like around the base of the collar. The instructions are reallllllly crappy....basically you should consider there are NO useful instructions. Otherwise the light fixture was okay. Looks good and matches the other fixture I bought. this was the second fixture I ever installed.Read More
like others here we were disappointed in the quality of this light. loved the design, not a fan of the gray color (not satin nickel) also having to assemble to that detail was a pain, we had broken parts during assembly, on a posituve note, Dolly was quick to return our e-mail and is sending the replacement parts as I write. overall while we like the fixture, would have hoped for better product at this price .....over $100Read More
I plan to box this up and return it to you. It was advertised as "Satin Nickel" but this finish is nothing but gray paint. I was very disappointed in the quality. It is extremely cheap looking. This is the first item I have purchased from Overstock, and it is very doubtful that I will make another.Read More
I loved the style of the light and the picture online looked great; however, when i opened the product up yesterday to install in my new home and the color and quality of the material was not what was represented - it was more of a matte gray/steel color with scratches in very obvious places - not what i want to display in my new home. I'm contacted CS online and have been advised that I may only be issued a partial refund, but they can't guarantee how much I would get back. I now know that the return policy is only 30 days - unfortunately, I didn't see that before. Very unhappy with this purchase...otherwise, I have been satisfied with my other purchases from Overstock.com.Read More

Best Duvet Covers for Each Season
For those who use duvet blankets year-round, duvet covers allow you to change patterns and color to match every season. Along with the decor of the bedroom, a duvet cover may enhance the ambiance of the entire room or supply it with rich colors and textures for the ultimate comfort factor. If you purchased an expensive duvet, covering it throughout the year will keep it in good shape and allow you to wash it without compromising the batting. Look below to learn the best duvet covers for each season. Spring: Once the evenings start warming up, lighter fabrics like satin provide sheen and style to any bedroom. Satin duvet covers are most often comprised of fabrics like nylon, rayon or silk to provide durability as well as comfort. For spring, lighter colors, including pastels or variations of cream and beige, brighten the room. Summer: During warm summer nights, cotton duvets are one of the most common fabric choices. Light and airy, cotton is also easy to clean and comes in virtually every color and pattern. For the summer season, try a white duvet cover, which will make the room appear more open and spacious. A cotton blend that contains polyester is also an ideal choice for summer, because it is soft, requires simple washing and does not wrinkle. Fall: For the fall season, a duvet cover that is warm enough for intermittent chilly nights is an ideal choice. Microsuede duvet covers offer a soft feel to bedding and come in a variety of colors. This material is easy to care for and machine washable. For fall, choose earthy colors like beige, brown, dark green or burgundy for a seasonal look. Winter: A luxurious duvet cover is a favorite option for warmth during the winter months. Velvet is a soft fabric that comes in a variety of rich colors and provides plenty of insulation for cold nights. The luxurious texture looks good in any style of room decor. For winter months, choose deep, rich colors like burgundy, plum, forest green or chocolate to enhance the room. View All Duvet Covers Back to Guides Directory View All Duvet Covers
Popular Types of Quilts
Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts
How to Choose a Chandelier
Chandeliers are more than just a way to illuminate a room. They add style and become part of the home decor. Like any decorative piece, the right chandelier can make a big difference in the look and feel of a room. A large or ornate chandelier will overwhelm a small living space, and a small, simple one will not look right in a formal dining room. Here's how to choose the best lighting for your home.
Buying Chandelier Lighting for Your Dining Room
Chandeliers are the ultimate statement piece in a house. From giant crystal chandeliers that hang from high ceilings to simple styles that reside over a family dining table, lighting fixtures have the ability to make a room glow. A chandelier that is not right for your space can seem weighed down and heavy. The wrong chandelier can also lack drama that helps make a room fabulous. If your chandelier is looking old and outdated, it might be time to update with a new style.
Sheets - Luxury Weaves
Changing your bedding, especially your sheets, is a great way to change the look of your bedroom as well as improve your night's rest. As you're looking for new sheets, think beyond color and thread count. The weave used for a sheet set makes a big difference in how your sheets will feel and look. Keep reading to learn more about five different sheet weaves and their characteristics.
Best Places to Hang Mini Chandeliers
A glistening chandelier can add that little extra something to your home decor, but you don't need to go big to make a huge style statement. Mini chandeliers, sometimes called chandelettes, work well in a variety of settings and are a popular alternative to large, traditional chandeliers. Think of a mini chandelier as piece of jewelry for your home -- a little can go a long way. If you're not sure where you would use one, try hanging a mini chandelier in one of these places.

A contemporary Italian bathroom vanity set is all about shiny material and minimalistic straight, flat lines. You can still keep the gorgeous marble tops and wooden cupboards of modern bathroom furniture, but make it fit contemporary rules. Below are some guidelines for decorating with a contemporary Italian bathroom vanity set.

Black Diamonds vs White Diamonds
When shopping for diamond jewelry, you have many stunning options. You may picture traditional white diamonds when you think of a fabulous diamond ring, tennis bracelet or pair of stud earrings, but black diamonds are also luxurious in a variety of fashionable jewelry. Black diamonds are unofficially a part of the colored diamonds category. Colored diamonds, also known as fancy diamonds, are natural diamonds in a range of bright hues. To select the very best diamond jewelry for your collection, consider this comparison of black diamonds and white diamonds.
