This fixture does not use medium base light bulbs, it uses candelabra base bulbs and they don't come in 60 watts. Fixture labels say to use 40 watt bulbs so this light fixture is not very bright. / Paint has bubbles. / Overall, it is an average light fixture at an average price.

I was surprised that the metal part of the light was white. It looks metallic in the picture and I would have preferred it to be metal Also, I thought these lights took regular bulbs, but they do not. I think the description listed this info, but somehow I missed it. I mention it so that anyone else who buys this item will pay attention to these details. We are using these lights in a home office in an attic so we are not that picky about how they look (and they do look fine), even though they would have looked better with a metallic finish. For the price, it seems like a good deal.
