The shelves look good in person and were easy to assemble. They are not very sturdy though. One shelf started to break after I filled it with larger books. They are good for holding some books and decor, but probably not the best to be filled entirely with books.

As long as you're okay with putting together these shelves (which is not difficult) they are great if you're looking for extra storage but don't have a lot of room.

I am very pleased with this shelf. I bought it for my daughter's bedroom and it is exactly what I was looking for. I was going to buy one at the furniture store for $300, so glad I did not - this one is just as nice. I would highly recommend.

I am. Very happy with my new bathroom ladder to hold my towels, wash cloths and a shelf for my perfume and candles. It is perfect and I plan on purchasing one for my daughters new home. Love it.

The shelf, when assembled, does not stand flush again the wall because the little supporting piece that goes in the back of the bottom tier is too long. I had to unscrewed that piece, did some measurement, and used a sew to cut off about an inch of it. Now it stands flush again the wall and is no longer wobbly.

I really like this shelf and am glad I ordered it. The underside of the shelves are not painted well but you can't see them so it really doesn't matter. The only thing I REALLY WISH is if the instructions were clear and gave caution to putting it together. Be VERY careful to attach the side pieces to the shelves. The dowels do not fit and pushing them into the sides will break the side piece. Instead, put the dowels into the shelves and hammer them in, then attach the sides. IF I had known to do that, I would not have broken the side pieces in two places. Nevertheless, it is a good product. It is very cute and I am pleased with the item.

We are very happy with the shelves. I purchased two for my daughter's bedroom. We needed shelves in the room but didn't want to cover the custom painting on the wall. The other reviews were positive and acurate and when looking at other similar products, reviews said they felt Overstock carried a superior product for less. My daughter loves these in her tween bedroom and they have more space on them than we originally thought. They were easy to put together, I did it myself in not much time at all. I would definately recommend these shelves.

Terrible quality, smelled of chemicals, and was falling apart. This is a very cheap and poorly made product. Don't get unless you want to rebuild it and air it for a number of weeks so that toxic fumes don't poison people around it (in my case, this was supposed to go into my baby's room.)

I put the shelf together by myself, no problem... but 3 of the 5 shelves had damage to them. The sides had bent inward so had to mess with the staples they used and had to apply glue to one to get it to stay. I'm not big on returning items, especially ones this large- so I might have been able to get a replacement if I had tried, but since it was "fixable" I went ahead and doctored it up. Looked as though the sides came loose during packaging, like someone was trying to force it into the box and the sides just gave way. Anyway, it's up now and I love it. Would have felt better if I had paid a little less for it.

I purchased this shelf as a decorating piece for a rarely used 2nd guest room...thankfully. If it had been purchased for it's function, I would probably have returned it. That said, if I had primarily needed it for function, I would have spent more for a higher quality shelf.

I ordered these shelves for my office and they were the perfect solution. I have my printer sitting on the bottom shelf and there was plenty of room. They were in great condition upon arrival. The box was not damaged at all and the shelves not scratched or damaged in any way. The instructions could have been a more clearly written but I was able to figure them out without too many problems. Overall I am very happy with them and the color is perfect!

For the cost, this is well put together and a good value. the wood product used is of better quality than i anticipated.

Have had this product for about a month. It was packaged well and contained all the parts. There was a definite problem with the instructions. It would have been easier to use the picture as a guide and that's what I finally did after taking it apart and starting over 2 times. The middle foot on the bottom shelf is just stupid. The bolt that's supposed to hold it is impossible to work - just threw it away and use dowel pins. If you have to remove a dowel pin that came with the bookshelf, you might as well throw it away and head to a home improvement store to buy more. More times than not, one of them will break. Make sure you use a covered hammer if you use one because any knocks will chip the paint.

These were exactly what I had been shopping for. I bought two to flank a magnetic chalkboard painted area I had done in my 7-year-old's room. She loves them. They fit perfectly and are sturdy enough to last a long time. The shelves were easy to assemble and are very stylish.

I had been looking at ladder shelving for quite some time and was excited when I saw this one at a reasonable price. Should have known - you get what you pay for. I started putting this together and immediately ran in to problems. The screws were stripped and my spouse had to rethread them. The ladder is put together in two sections and the directions for the bottom section are printed backward. We had it all togther and then had to take it apart. If you don't use wood glue between the two sections, there will be a noticible split between the two sections. I wouldn't suggest moving it once you place it where you want it. It's great for plants (and my cat loves the bottom shelf), but I wouldn't put too much weight on it. All in all, if it didn't cost so much to return it, I would have, but the box had already been broken down and disposed of when we figured out how much trouble it was going to be to put the thing together.

Had I saved the box I would have sent it back. I give it 1 star. It was in pieces, crooked, glue showing, nails sticking out, sides were coming off. It was a mess. My handyman was over and he practically rebuilt it for me. I would not recommend this to anyone.
