Hamper- or is it? I'm using this hamper as a "surround" to hide my kitchen garbage can. Sans it's lid, it's looks better than seeing a white lidded tall can with a black bag hanging out. It's an ok fix for a waste can disquise.

GK This product was not assembled when it arrived. thankfully my husband is handy with a drill and a screwdriver so he put it together. The hamper fits well into the corner in our bathroom and looks great. Holds a lot of clothes.

Easys to assemble, but smells like chemicals This hamper is easy to put together and looks like the photos. It does have a strong chemical smell. I had to keep the bathroom door open for several days to air it out.

Many of the reviews I read said the hamper arrived scratched or dammaged or with hardware missing but that a husband was able to repair. I have no one to rely on so am curious if any of these problems have been taken into consideration by overstock and what if anything has been done to prevent future problems?

The warehouse has looked into the packaging issue to try and prevent further issues.That said,If an item arrives damaged, it can be replaced. If it is missing hardware, we will send it free of cost. It is a shame that the people who wrote the reviews did not contact Customer Service before spending money out of pocket to purchase missing hard ware or contact us about the damage. As I said, it can be replaced or at the very least, compensation given fo cover cost of damage.
