This was a fairly simple project but it took a little more time than anticipated. It has twelve fairly large pieces, and it took brute strength to get it assembled and stable. You will need patience. The end product is great, and I ordered two to get the look I wanted. Naturally, the second was easier and faster to assemble, and I don't believe you can beat the value. Not quite five stars but a good four. The surface white surfaces (particle board) scratch easily and delivery left a few dents but nothing I can't live with.

    It is a challange to put together!!! The dowels are hard plastic, so there is no give...you NEED a rubber mallet to help pound and pound on it to close the seems. It's sturdy, but be sure to have some white paint to touch up flaws.

  • Sturdy but difficult to assemble

    Overall the box is EXTREMELY heavy. Upon putting it together you will find yourself needing an extra hand to literally push the pieces together. Once a piece is fitted, you will need all your strength to get it out- so follow instructions carefully and disassembly is a total horror. Putting it together requires and individual to pull two pieces as close to one another and another to cover a hammer with a sock and beat the pieces together. The holes are not exactly aligned as well, so some difficulty persists. Overall, if you like it, purchase it. Just be sure to have someone present to assemble as it is not the easiest thing. Once assembled though it holds well and is a very strong piece of furniture.
