Super disappointing...
 from Michigan,  Jul 26, 2006

Nice-looking sturdy piece- BUT the 2 doors do not even shut into the frame. It's a bit hard to explain, but it's some sort of manufacturing defect. There is an interior door-stopper piece with a magnet which the doors are supposed to securely close against- HOWEVER this interior piece is built far too close to the front of the unit (and therefore blocking the doors from fully shutting into the frame). You cannot even shut the doors- they just hang halfway open!! This "piece which blocks the way", by the way, is not one of the pieces you assemble yourself- it was manufactured (and is permanent) this way. Strange. Could be just mine- but I doubt it.

Get Ready For A Tension Headache.....
from Seattle, WA,  Jun 1, 2007

From the picture, it looks like a nice piece of furniture, but that is about as nice a thing as I can say. I should have known that from the moment I pulled out the directions and the illustrations were too faded to see, that this was not going to be a good experience. They label each piece with a letter to make it easy to put together. Unfortunately many of the pieces were missing these labels or were incorrectly labled with the wrong letter. A bag of screws was blessed with two of these labels and guess what? The other bag was missing. Whatever you may save on this item will not be worth the aggravation that ensues. I should note that I have put together at least ten items that I have purchased from Overstock and this was by far the worst.

cute mdf piece

usual boxed item with bad directions but a couple hours later you'll have a cute cabinet. Should have clearly stated that the bottom is not doors opening to a shelf but a drawer thingee that flips out and therefore does not maximize the use of space thus provided very little storage below.

bathroom cabinet
from Benton, Il.,  Feb 14, 2007

Really nice cabinet. I was reading the review by the other buyer and I found out what she was talking about but it is easily fixed. Just remove the round plastic pieces that are in the holes at the bottom where the door closes and it will work fine. It worked for me and the doors open and close fine. Love the cabinet. I had seen the same cabinet in a magazine for $150.00. Great deal.

Easy to assemble but doors don't fit properly. OK piece but probably would not have bought it after putting it together.

Not for the mechanically-challenged!
from Pippa Passes, KY,  Apr 30, 2007

The cabinet turned out fairly well, but it was a challenge to assemble. The directions did not include a picture of the final product, so I had to rely solely on text for assembly. It took me the better part of 4 hours to complete, but I do like the way it looks.

Love it!!
from Baton Rouge, Louisiana,  Dec 26, 2011

Cute cabinet. Love the glass doors. I store grandkids toys in top. Bottom is small for dirty clothes or it needs to be emptied everyday.

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Good.
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Well made.
  • How accurate was the on site description of the product? Good.

Bad instructions
 from Texas,  Dec 10, 2008

I still haven't put it together. I spent 3 hours trying to assemble it and finally stopped because it was too frustrating. It's now sitting in my garage.

Cute little cabinet
from Madison, WI,  Mar 24, 2008

Let me start by affirming everything that everyone has posted about the difficulty in assembling this cabinet. It is a pain in the neck. However, after it is assembled, it is a very ince looking piece. Pay attention to the height of the cabinet, though. The pictures make it look taller than it is. It is only 44 inches tall. The shelves weill probably be better for hand towels than batch towels and the hamper won't hold much, but for a guest bath, this is ok. Now for some assembly advice. Follow the directions EXACTLY. Do not put the back of the cabinet on before you install the glass doors - you will not get the doors to fit. Be prepared to use a mallet to adjust the squareness of the opening to get the doors inserted. Put the top pins in the door itself, but install the bottom pins in the cabinet first and then attach them to the doors. The attachment of the doors to the bottom hinge has to be done with both doors in place and through the back of the cabinet, or you will never get them to fit. Overall: A little expensive for such a small cabinet, but pretty when you finally get it done which is too much work for the price.
