this is my first purchase thru overstock. this tea kettle looks beautifull and is very sturdy. however mine does not whistle.i am concerned mostly for safeteys sake that i may forget that i have turned on the stove top to boil water. i have alwayse had a tea pot that whistles. also to pour you must first take off the spout cover first, which is hard to do while steam is comming out.

After reviewing more teapots than I care to remember, I chose the BergHOFF. Good product. handle does not get too hot, good looking, and the price on Overstock is less then half of many other places. I woud reccomend this product because of its high quality, however, I would not if you are looking for a tea pot that actually whistles... this one does not.

Excellent tea pot, stainless steel!!!; tea pot was as described and it should last for a long time.

Save your money, buy a nicer one. The handle gets really hot (ouch) and the whistle doesn't really work. Also, trying to take the whistler off when it's shooting out steam was a challenge. I eventually got a better one.

It takes so long to make a little noise.... not really a whistling! I am not happy with it. I think i will take it to Googwill and find a real whistling tea pot.

Not a very loud whistle but otherwise this is a great quality tea kettle - nice and heavy and should last a long, long time.

I've had a series of tea kettles get ruined due to some plastic being used in some areas on the kettle that eventually melted. Or, I bought too cheap of a kettle that broke easily. I bought this one because it seemed sturdy and I liked the contemporary design. I was right on both of those counts, and the kettle lives up to my expectations for that. My one complaint is that the whistle piece is kind of lame. It is sturdy, but it slides over the spout like a cap. The whistle sound is weak and not hearty like I like (and like my past ones were). Also, sometimes the whistle/cap piece is impossible to pull off right after the kettle boils, and you need to pull it off to pour. The piece does have two little holes in it that I use to pour from when the cap gets stuck, but the holes are not meant for that, and it's a sputtery, poor pour.

Great Value. It cleans up real nice sparkling clean. Heats to boiling quickly. Looks and acts like a high-quality kettle. Excellent value!

Lovely stainless tea kettle! Feels fabulous to pour, the weight is a "feels good" quality. Whistle is nice and loud, traditional sound. Great addition to any kitchen.

When mine arrived it had a small smudge (rub mark) on it, not Overstocks fault, a result of packing from the manufacturer. Could of returned it and I know O would have replaced it, but I couldn't part with it.I Love it too much.Nice size, durable, and very pretty. If your trying to decide just buy it.....You won't regret it.

This is a great Tea Kettle. It is one of the best tea kettles that I have ever purchased. It is very sturdy, but very easy to handle and it has a beautiful appearance. The price was very reasonable on Overstock after pricing similar tea kettles of this same quality. I would recommend it highly.

This tea kettle is exactly the same size as the larger burners on my electric stove. Therefore the water boils very quickly and safely. The sturdiness and overall quality is similar to what you would find in the kitchen of a restaurant. We have used this daily since it arrived a week ago.

I absolutely love this tea kettle. It is heavy and well made and brings water to boil rapidly.

I love the sleek design. It's well balanced so that it's easy to pour from. The top and whistle fit perfectly, no gaps. Cleans easily;holds enough water. Exactly what I was looking for. I would highly recommend this product.

This tea kettel is very sturdy and well made. It heats up in minutes. The appearance is very "upscale" looking. The only negative thing about it is the "whistler" is a little hot when you need to remove it to pour your water. Other than that, I LOVE it.

I have been looking for a nice tea kettle - appearance and quality -- for a long time. The last one I saw was priced at $83 -- This one tea kettle I purchased from O.com is far supperior than the one at the store selling for $83. The picture does not show the nice top (the part that created the whistling) that comes with the kettle. Great buy in more ways than one. In addition, O.com has unparalleled customer service. I had made other purchases that arrived with factory defect. At the time I had just moved into a new home and was without a printer so I could not print the return label. In a few days I receiced from the post office the return labels that a customer representative printed for me and mailed! This is indeed a very ethical company. They go beyond the extra mile to help when problems arrise. I am very happy with O.com.
