Did not buy this for meat grinding
I cannot give a legitimate review because I bought this to grind up kitchen scraps for my compost bin. It was troublesome for 1inch pieces of various fruits and vegetables, but I did not try meat. It needs to be anchored down, yet positioned in a way so the handle clears anything, so it seems a custom work area would need to be established. It is heavy and does seem built well enough.

meatgrinder
This item is heavy and difficult to grind with. It took one person to hold the unit down as it was placed on a granite countertop and would not hold in place. It took a stron male to grind the meat which was ham for ham salad. I don't think we will be using it much.

great for the money
this is great for the money. my son uses for dear meat and really likes it. it is the second model we have tried and the handle is longer then some in the price range and works better, four stars because it will clog with heavy usage.
