Westminster Tripod Table Lamp with Crank

I ordered these since they were nearly identical to a lamp being sold at a high end store that specializes in restored originals and reproductions. I wasn't expecting identical quality however for the price at overstock, but I was expecting at least some proper workmanship in the lamps. Upon unpacking the lamps, I found both with workmanship flaws that would certainly catch the eye of anyone standing within 5 feet of it. The metal parts of the lamp are clearly not done by the same vendors as the quality varies with parts having numerous scratches (definitely can't do anything about these since the flaws are in the metal itself and not the polish). Some parts of the wood are chipped as well, but thankfully can be touched up. The feet aren't too fitting really either since there is a noticeable size difference between the wood itself and the metal foot. It generally does give the same look and feel until you look into the details of the item. I know some readers may say "But the imperfections are what make it unique"; the imperfections that I see aren't those that I would consider making the item unique. It's one thing to have imperfections that make it unique, it's another to have parts that clearly had lower quality standards. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who is picky about details since you most likely will receive one with similar workmanship issues like mine.
