This thing was a nightmare to put together. The instructions were hard to follow. I did my best and it looks really nice when it is complete. Still, if you expect it to come together in an hour, it won't. Other than that, it came wrapped well, there was no damage and it is a sharp piece.

For the price, this desk is a good deal. I got it because of the style and affordable price. However, the top piece was cracked on the corner when I got it, and it is a cheaper piece of furniture with all of the assembly required and exposed screws. It looks good in my apartment and has adequate drawer and worksurface space, but I think if I had to do it over, I would save my money and buy a more expensive, quality piece of furniture.

Just bought and received this desk. Arrived in 3 boxes. It took me and my husband about 1.5 hours to put it together. It wasn't difficult, just tedious as there are lots of screws and dowels used to keep the desk together. The hardware came in individually labeled bags, which was very helpful. The only misdrilled holes were on the bottom of the drawers where the slide tracks are attached. It looks really good. Sleek and Modern, yet not as cold as glass and metal. And very sturdy. Heavy even; not one of those wobbly "assemble-your-own-furniture" types. Drawers aren't very deep but should hold plenty of desk supplies and papers. I'm looking forward to working at my new desk.

Love my desk, can't beat the price. Definitely not an heirloom piece but it looks great next to my Crate & Barrel bookshelves. Came quickly, undamaged, and with a few extra misc screws. Instructions were a bit tough but did most of it myself (yeah girls), needed boyfriend hands for top (yeah boyfriends), and more than 1 hour for sure. All in all, a good looking piece for the $.

Arrived in 2 days! The quality of the desk seems very sturdy and looks nice. My husband thought the instructions were very hard to follow and said it was easier to put together on his own. The desk is a nice size and has plenty or room on top to work. The color has a little red in it, which was different from the swatch they showed online, but still a good color.

Yes, building furniture is no picnic, but at this price, I'll accept a 3 hr assembly. Drawer order was particularly tricky. Nice, sturdy desk. Only comment is that the silver-looking handles in front on the photo are not mechanical, but static and just look like white stickers. Another awesome Overstock purchase.

Fast delivery. Looks great and offers large surface for 2 laptops .Desk was left with neighbor as I was not home. Very heavy, so I unpacked the large box to take it upstairs in pieces. I would give it 5 stars except there was very minor damage on one corner of the desk top. There was a dent in the packaging as if it had been dropped. Since I was not there I was unable to address this upon delivery. Easy to assemble, but it takes a bit longer than the one hour suggested in the instructions. I used my own hex driver as the one provided, while usable, wasn't very robust. Overall, nice desk for the money.

I love this beautiful, classic and slick desk. Great price and good quailty for the price. It took us 3 hours to put it together but well worth it. I will recommend it to everyone. I gave it four stars because of a few minor scratches, but easy to fix. Thank You Overstock!!!!

I bought this for my office and it is wonderful. Sturdy and good quality wood. The only problem I can tell you about this piece of furniture is that it is not easy to assemble. The directions were pretty useless and my husband ended up calling a friend to help. With that aside, I would still buy this desk again.

The final assembled product is good looking, functional and sturdy. I used it for a web desk. My only issue is they forgot to enclose the assembly instructions. So it took a little longer to assemble. My husband downloaded a picture of the desk and assembled it from that. I think my case was unique.

This desk is not only sleek and handsome with outstanding design, it is an excellent addition to the room. In addition, it is practical and at the perfect height for writing and reading. I would recommend this to anyone who has good taste and modest resources.

Though we didn't have as much trouble with the instructions as everyone else, I can definitely see the issues...pictures and no words. And it definitely takes at least 2 hours to put together, not the 1 hour as stated in the instructions but it is worth it! The price is great for what looks like an expensive piece when it is all put together. I've been eyeing it for months and finally bought it, wondering why I waited so long! I have to agree with everyone else, you won't regret your purchase!

This desk looks amazing for the price! The only hard thing about the assembly was installing the tracks on the drawers. Besides that just take your time and put it together slow and there should be no problems!

Assembly not as bad as I expected from the previous reviews. Just took some time, instruction not much help. Overstock replaced the damaged package very fast.Looks better than picture, streamline not at all bulky. Fits beautifully in my small condo. Word of caution; very limited storage space, not a work-horse desk.

This desk is sturdy and beautiful once put together, but putting it together was a nightmare! It took my friend and I all afternoon to do it. This was mostly because of the instructions. As described in a previous review, they only include pictures and they are not clear. Now that I've blocked that horrible experience of putting the desk together from my mind, I am enjoying the desk very much. Just be warned that if you purchase this desk, you will need to block out an afternoon and store up some patience to do it!

The instructions were so poorly presented, and I use that word because there was no text included, only very poorly executed pictures, it took two of us almost 3 hours to assembly this. I'm not the type that minds assembly if I've gotten what I consider a bargain; however this was a very disappointing experience.Sorry, while it's a pretty substantial desk from a distance, I'm not happy with this quality of this purchase. I wish we had shipped it back before spending all that time trying to make heads or tails out of the cryptic picture they called "instructions."

The desk itself looks fantastic in my home office. It fits exactly where I needed it and offers a good amount of desktop workspace. But yes, putting the desk together was an ordeal. The directions called for one person, one hour and a screwdriver. It took both me and my husband three hours with multiple tools, and I'm usually pretty good at assembling furniture. The directions were not clear and the steps did not seem accurate. We were also missing several screws that were needed to fix the desktop to the base. In the end though it looks good and hasn't fallen apart yet (because of the missing screws). I'd recommend it for the looks alone.

Ok, so I purchased this desk 5 months ago in preparation for my new place and had forgotten how people mentioned that the instructions were shotty. Here's the thing, the directions aren't all that great, but don't let that deter you from purchasing this piece. It's well crafted and made out of solid material, people will swear that you paid a fortune for it.. Another great buy from Overstock.com.!

I purchased this desk and am very happy for the price and style. The desk arrived timely in 3 very large, heavy boxes, with all boxes being well packed/secure. If you purchase this desk be sure to read all the comments and pay strict attention to the drawers. The CENTER drawer is NOT the same size as the two end drawers therefore you could spend extra unnecessary time with the assembly. Overall the assembly was swift, approx 1 hour and easy. As others have commented the directions and labeling are poor but, with good thought and plan, you shouldn't have much difficulity. Be aware - the drawers don't side well but, for my purpose, this doesn't matter much. If you are a tall person, the center beam may be a problem if you sit close to the desk. Overall, for the price and style, I highly recommend this sheak, functional desk.
