I ordered two of these end tables for my living room. I am totally happy with them. They are very heavy and solid. The pattern on the top of the table is attractive. I have modern, clean lines in my living room sofa and chair and these end tables went with them perfectly. I would highly recommend them. My boyfriend was able to put them together pretty easily. I think these end tables are nicer in person--I don't think the picture does them justice. A great buy from Overstock!

If you need an end table (we purchased two) look no further. Buy this table today. It is upscale modern not cheap contemporary (a personal design guideline I use); this table will stand the test of time in style, and because it is made so well, it will outlast that test of time. If you have a youngster (mine is 12) with a little Lego building experience, you can delegate the building responsibility once the table arrives. If you are on your own, do not fear the assembly; you could put it together in the time it takes to drink a cup of coffee. We bought several other items that were much more expensive and this table coordinates beautifully with them. These tables are solid and heavy.

I was a little hesitant to order this table. Several people complained about damage and scratching during delivery on the larger coffee table . Well ~ we took the plunge and our coffee table arrived last week. It is perfect! Not a single blemish. The table is super heavy, very solid. It is very dark ~ in the light it has a slight cherry hue. But for the most part it appears to be that deep chocolate which is so popular right now. Given the contemporary lines the color seems just right. The wood graining on the table top is somewhat deep and very dimensional ~ in case that might be a concern of yours. This would not in any way effect the performance of the surface, so much as how it reflects light. The instructions are a little vague. Once you think the pieces through, it is a cinch to put together with the provided wrench. All in all, a great table at an amazing price. We liked it enough to order this matching side table. Again it arrived in perfect condition. They are beautiful enough to want in my living room, sturdy enough to survive my family, and inexpensive enough to replace when the time comes. This is one of the best bargains I have found on Overstocks!!

I put together 2 end tables and one coffee table in about an hour and a half. Once I figured out the directions, it was a piece of cake. All of the pieces went together nicely, and the furniture looks beautiful in our living room! The pieces are very sturdy and well built. I'll be buying the office desk next.

like other shopper, I too love this table. came quickly and in excellent condition. was reluctant at time to order since some of other reviews said there was an odor but did not have this problem. needed small table for an assisted living apartment and it fits bill perfectly, color, size, and design. the color blends in perfectly with my black accessories and I only wish I had room for the matching coffee table. thank you, Overstock, I always go there first when shopping.

This is a nice piece for the money. It is not super high quality materials but it is an attractive piece of furniture that has held up for what I needed it for. It does seem to scratch easily and I have noticed some of the finish is rubbing off the edges (same with the coffee table) but nothing horrible.

I bought this table for my office. Great table for the money.

The wood is nice and heavy, pretty finish. I like the table now that it's built. However, I was upset to find that four of the 8 large drilled holes for fastening the table top to the legs were not drilled nearly deep enough to fit the hardware. I had to go out and purchase flat wood drill bits to make the hole deep enough (luckily, I own a power drill). Other issues popped up while putting this little table together. The directions are not very easy to understand, but after staring blankly at it for 5 minutes, I got the idea. After this, it will take about 15 minutes to put together. That is, if you don't have the same problem that I had with the holes being too shallow. The other issue is that it is difficult to tighten down the nuts with the wrench provided (or any of the wrenches from my own toolbox) because the hole that it has to fit into is too small. You have to put the wrench inside the hole, angle it a bit, and then try to affix it to the nut in order to barely get a quarter turn on that sucker. A pain, but once you get the hang of it, it's not too bad. Overall, I'm happy I got this table because it is made from heavy, solid wood and has a nice finish. But, if you buy, be prepared from some complications like those I've described above.

I had previously purchased the Wenge coffee table and one side table -- and I liked them so much that after a little re-decorating I had room for another table. These are unique, sleek, and modern tables that serve as perfect height for a reading lamp and plant. The rich hint of red in the finish looks great and doesn't clash with other pieces of black leather and wood that are in the room -- they complement without looking like I mismatched. Very easy to assemble to boot.

Very nice durable table. Rather short in height, but overall a good table.

I received my round Wenge end table quite quickly -- it was well packaged with no damage whatsoever. He and I whipped it together in about 10 minutes. The directions were clear and printed in legible English. The only tool needed was included in the packaging. It's a great table, weighty and solid, the perfect modern accent to compliment the two leather chairs I also purchased from Overstock. It's actually quite large, exactly 2 feet in diameter. I just wish it was a tiny bit taller than 18". That would look better, considering the height of my new accent chairs. I like the textured, ridged top as well. It is a deep, dark espresso color. It's made so solid that I have no concerns about it being flimsy, becoming rickety, or sliding around. The listed price is more than fair for a table of this substance. Just wish I could afford the matching coffee table! Don't hesitate if you want a modern, heavy, solid end table in a dark wood finish. I'm more than pleased with this purchase. I bought two of these tables which were larger than I anticipated, but they are lovely! I have the matching coffee table and I couldn't be more pleased. I have gotten so many compliments since we added the tables to our decor. I highly recommend this purchase, great quality at a great price!!

I bought these tables taking a chance. They are perfect and not a single friend of mine can say whether they are from a Scan Design or not :) I think the main difference is the color is a little less choclatey than the real wenge wood. But quite sturdy and going well to date and has been two years.
