Nice Chair . . . But . . . Don't Look Too Close
I have wanted a shell chair for quite some time and was very happy to see this one on Overstock.com. I bought two and at first glance, they are beautiful chairs. The leather a nice quality and is attached very nicely to the wood frame. The color of the wood is a beautiful walnut color with a great polished finish. So at first glance, I was thrilled. However, upon closer inspection, there are some definitely quality issues with this product. On each of the three legs, there is a rounded area where you can see inside of the molded plywood. This is part of the design and what makes the chair so interesting. What is not so great is that they didn't both to finish the insides of these areas . . . it is just unsanded, unfinished plywood . . . and it's clearly visible if you view the chair from the side. If they had just finished the legs properly, this good have gone from average to excellent in a heartbeat. I'm going to try to stain the inside of the legs myself so it isn't so glaringly obvious . . . buy I have to say I'm very disappointed in the quality because of this.

Wegner Shell Chair
I really didn't want to write a poor review on O.com because they do have great service and some of their products are really good. But.... not this one. I have wanted a Wegner chair for a "lifetime", and was excited to see that Overstocks was selling it. So I bought it. However, the quality is very, very poor, and to my dismay I had to return it. Problems with the quality: 1. Poly coat drip marks on all the legs. 2. Stains/spots on the leather 3. Indentations in the leather 4. Large gouge in the wood on the upper side of the seat 5. The wood support beneath the seat was severely cracked due to a screw that was used. This made the entire chair unstable! 6. The inside space in the legs was not sanded nor poly coated Good things about the chair: 1. Looked great in my house 2. Overstocks reimbursed me for the chair and they paid for shipping. All in all, I love the design of the chair, but was heartbroken when I had to return it. I don't know who Overstocks buys this chair from, but they should stop. Overstocks was great to work with. I would buy from Overstocks again.

Nice design poor quality
From a far distance the chair looks nice. Up close is a different story. Parts of the chair are unfinished. The parts that are finished are poorly done so. The clear finish has drip marks all over. Worse than that is the quality of the chair. I don't trust that It can withstand the weight of any adult. It wobbles from side to side and the legs spread apart when you sit in it. The foam on the back ans seat cushion do not recover from any indentations. The description states that the upholstery is leather. It's actually rubber. It smells like cheap vinyl and it too does not recover from indentations. This was a true disappointment.

Expected MUCH more for the price
These chairs, for the price, should be significantly more sturdy. The legs wobble, and the whole chair twists significantly when even light people sit in them. Overall, I am disappointed - I could have got this quality from China for 1/3 the price.
