I have purchased the queen size bed, 3 drawer night stand and this 6 drawer chest. I assembled all three pieces by myself . You do need to really look at the pictures and follow the instructions. This was the last item I put together and it seemed to be the most difficult. Some of the steps were unclear and I really had to stop and think as the pictures are/were backwards compared to how you have to assemble it. When it came time to assemble each drawer, I lost my patience. The drawers are hard to put together but once completed it is just beautiful! I love the dark color (almost black), the heaviness of the product (besure you put the dresser where you want it before adding the drawers as it's too heavy to move by yourslf once all the pieces are in place) and the quality is top notch. I did decide to replace the hardward on both the night stand and the dresser as I have brushed gold accents in my room not the silver that comes with this set. I am 100% satisfied with every piece that I've purchased. Infact, I'll be ordering a 2nd night stand to complete the set.

This dresser and the nightstands looks soooo nice in my bedroom. The price for the quality of the funiture is just outstanding. I got a real deal from these pieces of funiture. I would recommend this to someone that likes quality, dark, heavy, real wood funiture. I love it! It makes the bedroom look like you spent a lot but you didn't. Putting it together was not so bad either. Overstock is the best with replacing items that may have a defect to it ( no hasle what so-ever). I will continue to shop at my favorite on-line store.

The dresser was better than I expected. As described by others, the color is a very dark brown. Slightly darker than my other espresso colored furniture, but still matches great. For anyone who dislikes the handles that were shipped as much as I did, the c/c spacing for the pre-drilled holes is 1 9/16 and there is virtually nothing you can buy to fit them. I ended up buying some 3" oil rubbed bronze pulls from one of those home stores in the mall to replace them and cover the holes. End result was amazing. I did the assembly by myself in 3.5 hours. I also have the 1-drawer nightstand which is great and i just ordered the armoire.

After purchasing the Waynesborough end tables, I was thrilled with the quality of the pieces! I added the dresser to our bedroom suite and it too is substantial and a great value. I gave it four stars for ease of assembly, only because it was a larger and heavier piece to assemble by only one person. I will probably add the armoire or the chest of drawers. This is a wonderful value for your money. My husband and I are very pleased!

I purchased the dresser and matching nightstand for my son. They were not easy to assemble, but went together beautifully. They are both high quality, yet appear contemporary and stylish. It is highly recommended for a shopper who likes dark wood with a smooth finish.

I echo what all reviewers have said about the process to construct this dresser. If you go slow, have a power drill and carefully read the instructions, and use the drawings as a guide (look carefully at the drawings for things like correct direction, etc) this does end up being a beautiful dresser. The assembly is NOT easy or quick, but it's not impossible for anyone who has put together furniture pieces. One person could potentially do this - I needed my 12 year old son to help me at one point flip the piece to continue, but I probably could have done this on my own. I also agree to be careful to put the drawer sliders in exactly right, and make sure that all screws are tightly flush, otherwise the drawers will stick. They will slide nicely if done right. Finished, the dresser is really high quality. Good rich color. More black/brown than brown - darker than the picture that came up on my computer monitor. Finally, the drawer pulls are too shiny and actually do look cheap as another reviewer noted, so I spent about $50 more at my large hardware design store and purchased some new sleek brushed stainless pulls. The original pulls have holes (predrilled in the front of the drawers) that are not standard to most hardware, so I had to find some that would cover the original holes and extend wider to cover the predrilled ones. I ended up using one hole, then drilling a new one just about a 1/2 inch wider to install the new pulls. It looks fantastic, and ended up being a much more expensive look.

This was our first Overstock purchase and we are happy with our purchase. As others have stated it takes some time to put the bed together. My husband and I spent a couple hours assembling the dresser. We also used a mallet to help insert the wood dowels. The color is essentially black. We had to get paint chips so that we could paint our existing night stands and the black chips are the ones that match the furniture. The finished product is sturdy and beautiful.

I was disappointed that one of the drawer front was chipped when I opened the box. All parts seem to be pine wood (I think) except for the drawer assembly which is very soft particle wood that screws for the drawer rails won't bite into it. I recommend use screw driver rather than using power tools to do that. The drawer rails is the only thing I have to complaint about because they are the cheap ones that don't slide smooth and noisy during operation. Assembly is not as hard as it seems if you study the instructions before you start eventhough the instruction is the worst part that comes with this dresser. The parts is not marked in the illustrations and you have to read the text instructions and refer the parts from the index. Overall, the dresser looks bold and heavy, and the quality in my opinion is mediocre, but can't ask too much for its price range. I will recommend this product.

We bought the dresser, chest, and one 3 drawer nightstand at the same time. It took a little less than a week to receive. I was very excited after reading all the reviews about it. When we opened it, it was just a tad bit darker than I imagined (because of the pic where you zoom in and it shows brown in it) but it's lovely. We expected it to take awhile to put together after reading reviews, and it did. Hubby took 3 days to put everything together, by himself. Would have gone faster with a friend but oh well. Now that everything is together it's sooooooooo nice. Much nicer than some things I had looked at in showrooms and for much cheaper! Very sturdy, will last a LONG time. I would reccomend to all. Go get it!

The dresser is very solid and very nice. Please be aware that it's a very dark brown. It's so dark that it almost looks black. Took 3 hours to put together.

This goes perfectly with my chocolate leather bed and storage bench that I purchased from the BIG O. I spent some time looking for just the right dresser and night stands. The packaging and shipping were great. If definitely takes some time to put this unit together - you even have to build the drawers - but once you are done, you will be so pleased. It is a heavy and solid piece of furniture that will last. The dark color of the wood is a perfect match to the chrome handles. Don't waste another minute, get yourself one today.

We are very happy with this dresser. We bought the bed and a night stand as well We looked at many others and this is the best quality by far,in this price range. The only thing I did not like was the shinny silver handles however they are not as bad as I expected.. We may spray them a nickel color, but are ok the way they are. The color is very dark which shows dust very fast Drawers are deep and they close and open smoothly. Great substantial piece for the price ! assembly is a drag but not too bad. The matching bed is my favorite piece.

I bought both Waynesborough pieces, the 3 drawer nightstand and this 6 drawer dresser, and I just finished assembling the dresser by myself today. (The nightstand was a breeze to assemble.) The furniture is beautiful, heavy, no pressboard here! All wood, and will last a lifetime if properly cared for. It shipped quickly, though I had to wait to assemble it for a new floor to be installed. Everything was wrapped well in shipping, and it arrived without so much as a scratch. All the hardware was there, nothing missing. The assembly was a bit challenging on this piece for one person, but do-able. I will agree with the person who left the comment saying PAY CLOSE ATTENTION to fastening the gliders because if they are off a bit it will affect the outcome. Once done correctly, it glides like a dream. And in the end, everything turned out beautifully and I am thrilled with it all! Carla, Tucson

The collection's color is very dark (which was what I was looking for). The furniture looks much better in person then it does on the web site and the quality is very good. Just make sure you have lots of time to put it together. Since I ordered the whole set, I hired 2 guys who put furniture together. It took them over 5 hours to assemble all the pieces. Well worth the $350 they charged because it saved my weekend.

This dresser is very nice and was easy for a new builder to put together. The dresser arrived in three boxes and was packaged very well. Each piece was wrapped individually and came out of the box in mint condition. This took me about 2.5 hours to put together w/ little break between big steps for a drink or to recharge the screwdriver. The directions were clear and it came with extra parts. Once together, this is a solid piece of furniture. It looks and feels as nice as the pieces I bought for 1,000's in my bedroom (this is in my guest bedroom). Unlike some things I've bought on overstock, this doesn't scratch easily at all - very nice material.

I am a 22 year old female and I was easily able to put together this dresser. Granted the instructions weren't as clear as they could be, but just take your time and read them over before you start and you will be fine. I also ended up using a power drill and it took me about 4 hours total to get it all together. Just pay very special attention when attaching the sliders....if you're alittle off on one, it will throw everything else off. Other than that, everything went along great and it looks absolutely beautiful once it is together! After ordering, it only took about a week for it to arrive and was very well packaged. I highly recommend this dresser....just make sure to take it slow and a rubber mallet is a life saver!

My fiance and I are getting married in July and were looking for furniture for our new house that was affordable and elegent all at the same time. Overstock.com provideed us with this great dresser, as well as the matching night stands for an afforable price as well as with great quality. We were both worried about ordering something online, but we ordered the items on Sunday, and that Thursday of that same week the items were delievered. In fact, not only did the items arrive quickly, but there were packed so well that the shipping all the way from Utah to California did not effect the products at all. The items arrived in great condition with not a scratch on them, and the dresser and two night stands were easy to put together, time consuming, but well worth it, all the pieces went together nicely. I would recommend these products to anyone, and am so pleased with my purchase. The funiture looks like it shows online, and is good quality. These items will last, and are not going to blow over with a small wind, the dresser weighs about 200lbs, and the nightstands about 60-70lbs. I am so so pleased with the pruchase, and think you will be too.

Of the three pieces I purchased, this one has a little scratch that needs to be touched up (the challenge is to finding the matching color at a local store). However, the overall quality is excellent, the dresser is sleek, and the color is rich and beautiful.
