The main problem is that this dispenser turns the soap blue, which appears to be a reaction with the metal they use. I bought this dispenser for guest bathrooms to look classy, but corroded blue soap is not classy!

A top-notch dispenser in solid brass with a beautiful chrome finish. Almost every bit of it is solid metal, except for the plastic feed tube and the lotion reservoir bottle inside. Also, all of the various components thread together and are very sturdy. (This does, however, make it a bit time-consuming to take apart for refilling). The plastic bottle which holds the soap or lotion is fairly small, but each push of the knob delivers just the right amount to do the job, so running out quickly isn't a problem.

This soap dispenser is well built and heavy. It has a very nice look and blends well with my Ginger hardware. I agree with another reviewer that it is a bit hard to fill up.

high quality and well made. i believe most or all allied brass products are made in the usa, which for me is imporrtant. i bought two of them, and will purchase other allied brass products. only one problem with one of the dispensers...the inner plastic mechanism in one needs to be replaced, but i am sure the vendor will comply with my request.

This items really suits my need to have dish soap handy on the sink top minus the ugly plastic bottle! It seems to work well, and resists smudging. Was a bit pricey though
