  • Worth every penny

    I received this lamp 2-3 days after I ordered it. It's very easy to assemble and it came packed and in excellent condition. I love the lamp. It is beautiful and so worth the price. I looked all over before I bought it and this one is perfect. I highly recommend it!

  • Elegant lamp

    I ordered the standing lamp in addition to the matching table lamps (read my review on the table lamps: one was broken around the base). The lamp was as described and displayed in the photograph. Quick assembly. The swing arm was the winning feature in addition to the amber glass.

  • Somewhat disappointing!!

    I purchased this lamp as a reading lamp next to my chair. It was the right height as described and the look was what I wanted to compliment my traditional furnishings. It was very easy to assemble and for the first 4 weeks everything was fine or so I thought. Then the light started to shut off and turn on by itself. After some detective work my husband found that the switch which held the wires was defective and one of the wires was not adequately secured to the the metal area on the switch. Had to go and buy a new switch and after that the lamp worked fine. When reassembling the lamp after this fix it was found that the glass part no longer would screw into the lamp properly and now stands crooked. I mistakenly thought that with the name of Waterford it be of better quality.

Does this floor lamp really require hardwiring? It doesn't plug into the wall socket? How do you turn it on? (Where is the switch) Is the ornate piece glass or crystal? What is the column and base made of? Metal? What wattage of 3 way bulb is required? What color is the shade? What type of fabric? Lots of questions but can be answered, plus added to the product details. :) That would be a pleasant feature. thepersonalshopper on Jan 8, 2013

All of our lamps come fully wired with either a turn knob switch, pull chain switch or in line switch. The switch is at the socket on this piece. It is a rotary switch that is hidden under the shade.
