  Basically it is as represented, however after I purchased it I found almost exactly the same product at a local garden center for about twenty dollars less, so in my view it is overpriced. Also, the area where you would plant some flower is not deep enough, in my view.

  It was wonderful how quickly we received the item. Set up was easy. The overall design is nice but the craftsmanship is of very poor quality. The first rain exposed a hole in the mold 1” from the spout. The area surrounding the spout is poorly constructed, thin, and appears to be melted plastic that was smeared around the site. The same holds true for the 2 large knobs at the top of the system (backside). It looks like the work of a preschooler who recently discovered paste. It is not something you would or should expect of a rain catchment system at this price. To top it all off, the spout itself was plastic (not brass or metal) and could easily snap off.

  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Plastic is very thin around spout causing a small hole to erupt
  • How accurate was the on site description of the product? It should state the spout is plastic

  A little tricky to set-up. I built a platform for it, and when it filled up the weight of the water-filled barrel sunk the barrel just enough to offset the overflow valve feature. I will have to empty it now, and raise my platform another inch, or it will be overflowing every time it rains hard.

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? black plastic, is just that... black plastic
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. was expecting brass (as in real metal) fittings, as described on the website, as well as on the label on the item when it arrived. The faucet is brass-colored plastic. Wait and see if it holds up to use...
  • How accurate was the on site description of the product? except for the plastic "brass" faucet, it arrived as described.

  I would reccomend this product to anyone looking for a decorative rain barrel. ( VERY NICE LOOKING )

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Color comparision was just like the picture shown
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Product came assembled. So all I had to do was hook it up to my down spout

  I am thrilled with my new rain barrel! I had it set up just minutes after receiving it. And it amazes me how much rain runs off into it ~it is full to overflowing since the last rain. Every time i take rain water from it to water plants and fill the bird bath i feel i am doing a good thing ~rain water is better for plants and birds, i am utilizing a natural resource and conserving the city's water all while saving a little money on my water bill. Yes, i am thrilled with my rain barrel.
