It says the "Fan Motor with Aluminum Blows Heat from the Top of the Unit", does this mean out the top against the wall? So the heat would rise up the wall? Therefore, lyou could mount anything above this on the wall? Or does this mean out the top somewhere in the front of the fireplace, into the room? lkjhgtyui on Nov 24, 2012

The heat is released through the top of the unit both going up the wall and into the room. We would not recommend hanging anything above the unit. overstockcustomercare1 on Nov 26, 2012
 
 
How exactly does this mount? Does the wall need to be cut to position the heater so it's flush to the wall or is it just a hang on the wall as is? engineire on Nov 21, 2012

To convert watts to BTU's, multiply the watts by 3.4. A standard 1500 watt heater typically puts out about 5100 BTU's. Now assuming 8 foot ceilings and decent insultation it should heat a 12 by 12 room in zones 7 or 8-11 In zones 1-6 it might heat an 8 by 10 room. totalgeek on Oct 30, 2012
