toaster oven great - shipping poor
The oven is not the problem. The oven was slightly damaged in shipping as it was very poorly packaged. In fact, in came in the same type of box that you would get if you bought it a a local store (the flimsy cardboard type. The cover was not even sealed with tape, so the box was received wide open. There were several small dents and scratches on the oven due to poor packing. We were concerned that the oven might have been damaged but it still works just fine. 5 star product and 2 star rating to the shipper.

excellent cooking and toasting
this has a nice pull out crumb tray, nice dials which i had to memorize because the letters for bake, broil, etc. are teeny i baked cookies - perfect, dinner- perfect....as others said you have to try toasting until you find the way you like it. I toast mine on bake for a shorter period, and my son liked his on toast for a longer period - his was evenly toasted, and mine has toast marks, we are both happy with the toaster and bake functions. as for the convection, its my first one so i can't tell if it is good or not, but the first set of cookies i made with convection came out better than the second batch i used bake setting on. the convection setting took at least 5 minutes longer to cook but was more evenly cooked, the baked cookies were over cooked on bottom. I kept my rack and baking pans from old toaster oven, which came in handy, so i was able to put in two racks of cookies at one time. the bottom rack on bake had slight overcooking on bottom of cookies so the convection was useful for the cookies not to burn on bottom rack. the baking pan that comes with this oven is very low, and luckily i have some higher ones for bigger food. it toasted frozen waffles very nicely too. toaster oven looks more expensive than the price paid, well worth it even if convection takes a bit longer than expected.
