Suprised
Smaller in size and less bulk than most blenders, powerful and amazingly quiet. Wasnt sure about buying a refurbished blender but it i a waring, how could I go wrong. Some other retail stores were charging twice the price. Waring doesnt change their design much so parts are easy to attain, just in case. Protein powders tend to get stuck at the top of the jar when added last, but does a wonderful job making smoothies with frozen fruit or ice. Oh, there are no removable parts to clean after each use, the blade is a permanent part on the glass carafe. It is easy to clean with soap water and a dish towel. My neighbors have one just like this and make great margarita's every weekend for years with the same blender.

great blender!
We purchased this blender because our other brand blender gave up the ghost. My husband makes protein shakes for my son every day so it's used alot. This blender leaves no chunks of ice, or chucks of banana or nuts. Follow the directions on adding ice and you won't have any issues. Start on the low speed first so you don't drench yourself, like another reviewer did. It's way to powerful to start off high and not expect the liquid to quickly zoom to the top and maybe overflow. We absolutely love this blender! I highly recommend it!

Loved it when it worked
This is great, I love the old charm it has, it works great but came apart one day wile in use causing a huge mess and the replacement plan did not send a new one i had to get a a refund and re buy it so the replacement plan didn't do all it said it was going to it is quite the hassle, loved it wile it worked and yes u got a new one just like it because its a lovable thing. looks nice and preforms

UGH!!
After less than 6 months, replacement for my first broken blender (same blender bought only weeks prior) broke. Again, it was an issue with the carafe--seal broke and now it leaks like a sieve. After reading about this model online, it is a common issue with this model. Not worth the money of even sending back.

Great blender
This is a great blender. It is built well and performs as promised. I like the fact that the bottom does not come apart with the blade and base. It is easier to clean that way. I love the glass container. Many blenders are going to plastic now and I prefer glass.

Junk
Junk - it leaks!!! I tried to contact Overstock to ask about returning it... did not get the help I needed and it's a first. Don't understand it.
