    It is COOL and makes a fun, colorful statement in my daughter's remodeled room! But, the amount of light output is very "ambient"... I put a 75 watt CFL bulb in it to get a little more from it... the additional lumens make the colors even prettier when it is on. From outside at night the light is spectacular to see through the window!
