The frame of one of the chairs snapped the second time someone sat in it. When we broke the chair down to throw it away we found that the back of the chair is constructed from cardboard. The second chair also has a permanent indentation in the back of the chair from the first time it was used, which is probably because of the cardboard construction. For the price I was not expecting the highest quality of chairs but I was expecting to receive chairs that would last for more then two uses.
We ordered 8 of these chairs for our dining room table, and I suppose these are worthwhile for the price you pay. They are not the easiest to construct, but I put together 6 of them while ~5 months pregnant without much difficulty. That said, I think the quality of the chairs is not that great. We've had them for a few months, and the backs of the chairs are not strong. My husband (5'11, 190lbs) has already snapped the frames of two of them when leaning back in the chair. The chair is still intact, and usable, but the wood frame is thin and not as strong as I'd expect. They look great, and are very easy to clean.
