The shelves were very easy to assemble and look great. They are a nice rich dark wood and look best next to each other. I have books, plants, frames etc on them and didn't have to mount them to the wall even though I have them on hard wood. If you are looking for a nice bookshelf for not a lot of $, I would definitely recommend theses!

These are exactly what I was looking for and they look great in a small room right near the living room. We have some heavy books on there as well as decorative items and it's quite sturdy. They look great and store many items. Easy to put together, I did both by myself. I looked at several stores online and in person and I would highly recommend these for anyone looking for leaning ladder type bookshelves both for price and quality.

These shelves look great! They weigh enough, especially after loading them with decorations, that I didn't feel the need to secure them to the wall. I added little adhesive rubber bumpers to the backs so that they didn't mark my walls. They look great and are very sturdy.

I love these. I have one placed on either side of a TV stand in my living room to create a leaning ladder entertainment center and I love them. My husband, who is not at all handy, put them together easily. One feature that I like that is not clearly shown in that they have a stand in the back to stabilize the shelf and they come with wall brackets so that you may attach them directly to the wall to provide more stability. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Considering similar pieces go for twice this price in other stores, this is a great deal for a leaning bookshelf. The quality is high and assembly quite easy. The stain of the wood is a bit lighter than it appears in the photo (and lighter than some other reviewers may have said), but it's still an outstanding piece.

If you are trying to decide whether these are the shelves for you....think no more. I've been shopping for leaning ladder shelves for quite some time now and this is exactly what I was looking for. I love these shelves. They are exactly as described. Came well packaged and in great shape, no scratches or dingsl They look great in my dining room and everyone comments on them when they see them. Easy to put together if you take your time and pay attention to the directions, so you get them all going in the right direction. Go ahead and buy them, you wont be disappointed.

These shelves are incredible!! They use your vertical space without being bulky or taking away the color of the wall. For a small room, they actually make it look bigger, not smaller. Although they recommend two people assemble these, I did it alone and quickly. I've received many compliments on these shelves. They've transformed my living room without costing an arm and a leg. Also, they are sturdy. I trust my little aquatic pets on them and have had no problems at all. Get them! You won't be sorry!!!

Shelves are perfect for all sizes of books. Second shelf is perfect for alarm clocks. We have each shelf on a side of the bed, as him & her bookshelf/night stands. Color matches our bedroom and design is elegant. Very functional for our use and space. Only second shelf has slight tilt back (hence a good rather than excellent rating). Wooden dowel hole appears slightly too big on only this shelf and may be the reason for this 1/4" tilt. Books are positioned slightly forward on shelf to alleviate the appearance of a tilt, otherwise fantastic!

Hoping this would matched my expresso desk that I also purchased at Overstock.com which they did. My husband set it up for me which he had an easy time with. Only thing that wasn't that good was the little circular things that you have to put to block the open holes in there which you'll need to hammer in since they kept coming out . Overall, I loved my purchases.

Very nice. Easy to assemble. Fair quality. Lightweight but sturdy. The only complaint I have is the color is a little off then what is perceived in the photo. Looks like it would be more of an espresso color but they actually are lighter and have a reddish tint to them. Still they are a good buy and I would recommend if you are looking for something comparable.

I like these alot, we put two in the office and they can hold alot of weight. I did attatch them to the wall with a heavier screw for added stability.
