This was my first time buying from overstock, and I was disappointed to find this buffet cabinet broken upon delivery. The wood used is flimsy. It would be a nice looking product if it were intact.

THE GOOD: This is a surprisingly solid, well-made piece of furniture for the price. It was very easy to put together -- just a matter of screwing on the legs and the knobs on the two doors and the flatwear compartment. The screw holes on the legs and the base of the cabinet lined up exactly. The hinges are perfect, and when the doors are closed the two knobs line up. The flatware compartment is well padded and lined with black velvet. I unpacked it, put it together, put it in place, and had it filled with flatwear in around 30 minutes. It takes up minimal space, holds all my flatware, and looks more expensive than it was. With the two shelves in place, the interior is good to store placemats, table linens, and other small items. To store bigger items, one could leave out one or both shelves. THE NOT-SO-GOOD: The box was battered and badly torn. Fortunately, the cabinet was well packed inside with plastic wrapping and styrofoam blocks holding it in place, so it arrived undamaged. However, the three knobs (doors and flatware compartment) were rolling around loose in the box and could easily have dropped out through the torn part. The rest of the screws, washers, and dowels were securely taped in a plastic bag into a place in the inner styrofoam padding designed to hold these items, so there's no reason why the knobs shouldn't have been secured likewise.

I purchased two od these cabinets for my dining room to store an extensive collection of inherited sterling flatware. I was more than please with the cabinets. The only assembly required is to attached the legs, an easy 5 minute job. The upper section for flatware is well lined and stores a large service of flatware. Behind the doors are two shelves to store other items. I've received many compliment in them.

Wallace Walnut Buffet Cabinet was easy to assemble. It was missing some knobs and screws which luckily I found loose in the bottom of shipping box. The style and finish is true to the photos. The only complaint we have is that the slots are too narrow for my wife's Reed & Barton Williamsburg Peyton stainless. With a little work we were able to get the forks down into the slots. There is plenty of storage for the two hostess and two serving sets along with the 13 place settings. The cabinet looks very nice.

The buffet cabinet was simple to assemble and looks fantastic. It's great for small apartments but it still fits a good amount of items as well. I had a one bedroom apartment (730 sq ft) and it looks great in my dining room area.
