Wall-mounted 30-inch Range Hood

We installed this range hood into our kitchen remodel this week and wanted to make sure people where aware of our experience. I agree with most of the reviews here in that it looks nice and is constructed well, however, the operation is dissapointing. If you care about the level of noise, i would suggest you look elsewhere. If you dont want pail LED type lighting over your range, i would consider another product. The lowest setting on the fan is too loud for our tastes and the lighting is unacceptable. The LED lights cast a poor lifeless glow on cooking foods and actually tough to cook properly. We cant even tell when onions are carmelized properly. I am comparing this to the range hood we had in our last house which was a mid range Broan from a box store. That range hood had two lighting levels, but more importantly had halogen bulbs which i feel cast a realistic light (broad spectrum) that allows much easier cooking. In addition, the fan setting on that rather cheap Broan were perfect for most every cooking situation. The low level was nearly silent and the high setting was loud and powerful (in the rare event something got overcooked or needs tons of ventilation). I have had great success with most other products from Overstock where i trusted the reviews. This one is the exception and i wanted to make sure people knew what they were getting. Overall, we are very dissatisfied.

I do personal catering and small parties so I cook constantly at home so I needed a range hood that was powerful enough for constant daily use. In the past with my previous range hood, my entire house would become smoky and eventually the smoke detectors would go off. Now I don't even notice anything in the air and the thing is so much quieter. After more than 6 months of using it, this 30" Wall-Mounted Range Hood is still going strong.

We bought this range hood about 5 months ago and so far we love it. It has good suction and since our kitchen has an open doorway to our living room, this is important. I think it is average as far as noise is concerned, but the main thing is that it moves air and it looks great. It really makes our kitchen look high end for a reasonable price. The only small complaint I have is that the lighting is white and not very bright, but I might be able to change the bulbs out. All in all, we are very pleased with our purchase.

I will definitely recommend this range hood to anyone who is looking for one. After reading all of the positive reviews I figured that I would purchase it and if I did not like it I can always send it back. Well, all I have to say is that it exceeded my expectations. The installation was simple and the price was great.
