I am really impressed with the beauty of this clock. It actually is nicer than I expected for this very low price! I did use glue to permanently affix all the wood turnings (they all get inserted into their respective holes when you receive the clock). I've had it 2 weeks, and it keeps perfect time. I like the soft chime, because I live in a small cottage. I don't want the house shaking when a clock chimes. My only "complaint" is that the chime occurs at exactly 3 mintes AFTER the hour, and I can't figure out how to correct that. I've contacted Overstock.com and they are going to try to help me. I'm sorry others had problems with this clock, but the one I got is "almost perfect" except for that 3 minutes thing. If nothing helps, I might just take the batteries out of the chime, and just enjoy this as a silent timepiece, because it is so attractive on the wall.

I bought this clock as a sample before buying more to ship to my store in South America. The music chime needs to be a bit louder. The spring in the battery compartment is a bit too long, so it is difficult to load the batteries. The manufacturers packaging needs to be improved. The clock arrived with Nothing damaged, but the movement needed to be adjusted. I think this clock is excellent value for the price. I intend to buy more but I hope they are not received damaged. The little problems I can fix, but not if the case is damaged in shipping.

Had to make slight adjustments, by tilting the innerworkings so the pendulum would swing but other wise a good clock, I love it and will buy another. Great deal.

I've got to admit - I bought this piece because I liked the horse sculpture pediment (though I detested the thought of a battery operated quartz movement). I figured I'd just purchase and install a wind-up movement - but was unpleasantly surprised to find that : (a) the depth of the cabinet is very shallow and won't accomodate a windup (b) the front of the clock does not open as a door - so one would not be able to wind up a replacement movement (or even pull up chain/ weight movement. Additionally - the horse pediment is not very well done; so it only looks good from a distance (or if one squints hard when looking at it). The computer chip Westminster Chime is very tacky - but one can choose not to put batteries in for that function to keep it silent. ALL IN ALL, I WASN'T AT ALL PLEASED WITH THE PURCHASE AND HAVE GIVEN IT AWAY TO SOMEONE WHO WILL APPRECIATE IT MORE AS A GIFT (THAT HE CAN OVERHAUL) ... THAN I DID AS A PURCHASE.

Dont waste your money clock stopped in a week and ended up in the trash . Poorly manufactured. Overstock should discontinue selling this item. PS bracket holding chime became unglued upon arrival. NOTHING good to say about this item!!!!!!

I real disappointed when bought this wall clock. It's easy to broken at the top of partial part. Very hard to load Battery into the Battery pocket. For these reason, the wall Clock is damaged absolutely and I could not return it to Overstock.com
