To anyone considering purchasing this piece, don't be put off by the "it's hard to assemble" comments left in some of the reviews. I was able to put this together by myself with little difficulty. However, it is a heavy coffee table so if you have a second set of hands available to you, do take advantage of them.The piece arrived looking just as in the picture. There were some minute dents in the top of my coffee table, but nothing terribly noticeable. It's a beautiful modern coffee table that's sturdily built. I'd definitely recommend this item to a friend.

We purchsed this quite awhile ago and just got around to putting it together. . .WHAT A PAIN!!! Nothing went right, all the holes were off (i had to stand on it at one point to put weight on it so my husband could get the screws on the holes). We thought we had the hard part done and then even the legs were hard to put on. It may be a fluke that we had all these problems.. However, I love the color (very rich) and the look of it is great. I guess I would say if you really like the look of this table and want to purchase it just know that it takes along time to put together and you MUST have two people working on it. Once we got it together I was very pleased with how it looks.

We had this table for almost a year now and it's great and sturdy.. Great quality for the price. It is very heavy and larger than it appears in the pictures so make sure you check the dimensions.. Our living room is large so it fit nicely with the rest of our decor.

This coffee table is absolutely beautiful! It is very heavy wood, is stained richly, solid workmanship, and it has plenty of storage space. It is quite large but it still looks great in my apartment. My husband didn't have too much fun assembling it though! It takes some time and some muscle power, but it's all well worth the effort. Beautiful piece!

I cordially recommend the "Wakefield Console Table" to anyone that that wishes to add a quality piece of furniture to their home - at an extraordinary value. Like the console table, it is a very solid and heavy. You are not purchasing cheap MDF furniture, here! I did have some issues with assembly. The top of the table was not drilled properly and therefore would not work. However, Overstock's customer service was stellar! They were very helpful and prompt and sent me a replacement top at no cost to me. It worked perfectly. The representative also stayed in touch via email and even sent me the tracking information. I have never been more impressed by customer service. Once that issue was resolved, I put it together and it looks stunning. Like another viewer mentioned, pay careful attention to the dimensions of the table. It is quite large. Again, I highly recommend this table. Well done Overstock.com! I am very happy with my first purchase from this site. The table is exactly how it was described and the shipment tracker really won me over, although I think it would be a good idea to put the weight of the item on the product page. Despite reading the customer reviews, I decided to take on the 90 lb coffee table alone and I'm pretty sure I'll be feeling it tomorrow. Clear and simple instructions made for a very smooth set up.

As many have mentioned the table looks alot more expensive than it is. This table is very strudy and all the pieces are pretty heavy so its easier to assemble with two people -- however I managed to do it with one. Only reason I gave it a 4 was because the assembly pieces in the top were not drilled in properly. We were able to redrill and save the hassle of returning. I do give Overstock 5 stars for customer service. I notified them of the problem and had they had any more in stock they would've sent me a new top. Unfortunately they were all sold out - so they offered another acceptable solution. Would definately recommend this item.

We have the matching console table as well. These pieces have great color and a great finish, and they definitely do match. There was no difference in color between the two. The coffee table is probably the easiest piece I've ever put together from overstock (mostly because it's so simple, and has no drawers). There was a problem with the top of our table. It wasn't broken but one of the pieces of embedded hardware was reversed which made it impossible to put together properly. Overstock send us a new top. Power drill highly recommended, especially for those long bottom screws with no pre-drilled holes. Like the console table, this is very heavy. It would be difficult for one person to move, when vacuuming for instance.

I absolutely love this table. It was looking for a coffee table for months before I came across this one. It has the perfect mix of contemporary and traditional style that I was looking for. And it looks SO much more expensive than it is. I have gotten so many compliments and people are shocked when they hear that I've gotten it from overstock. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it does scratch easily. But I knew that (from other reviews) prior to purchasing and I don't regret my decision at all. Assembly is pretty easy, the only thing that makes it difficult is the weight of the parts because it's such a heavy wood.Would definitely purchase it again.

this table is the best table ever. I did my homework, comparing prices, product and reviews and this table surpasses all. I had a carpenter friend put this table together and he said you couldn't even buy the materials and make it for the price. It easily compares to tables double the price sold by high end stores. I am going to buy the console and would love end tables!!! It is heavy and large and sturdy and constructed well.

You need a friend to help you put together this huge and heavy table. If assembly was easier I would have given it 5 stars as it's a great table. They do a good job seperating and identifying the pieces. If you like this piece I would say buy it!

This is a very nice looking coffee table in the livingroom. It is sleek, sturdy and a very modern and high quality item. Since the item is very heavy, I would recommend having someone help to assemble the table.

This table is great and matches our entertainment center perfectly. My husband assembled it easily. It is very, very heavy when put together, you need 2 people to move it about the room.

This is a very large and extremely heavy piece. THe wood is solid and weighs a ton..... that would be the tricky part of the assembly as I would recomend two people to assemble it. It is very well made and appears exactly as the photo. I would pay attention to the dimensions if your space is tight.

The coffee table arrived within a week and was exactly as pictured on the website. It was hard to attach the top piece to the botton but with a little dish washing detergent on the screws and some elbow grease, we got it together. It looks great!!

one of the part has defect and I am still waiting to hear back to see if I can get replacement. The whole return or exchange policy is taking too long. I probably won't order such big item from overstock again.

Great item. I also have the sofa table. It is heavy solid wood and holding up to a five year old well. A bit tough to assemble due to the weight of the wood, but I would never knock it for being good quality and not pressed wood.
