    My aunt and uncle lived in Germany for several years and bought red Waechtersbach dinnerware while they were there. I loved the vibrant color and decided that when I had my own house I would have red Waechtersbach dinnerware too. I have owned these for many years now and have never grown tired of them. It makes me happy to eat from these red bowls and dishes and my table looks festive and happy too. The quality is excellent. I'm buying a new set of 4 bowls because after about 25 years, I've got some chips on the edges. Not bad for every day usage!

  • These are made in China, not Germany

    I ordered these bowls to match the cherry red Waechtersbach bowls that go with my set of dishes from Crate and Barrel (that were also sold at Sur La Table). They are not a good match because they are much more orange than they are cherry red. I was disappointed.
