not as expected
I had purchased the Waechtersbach creamer and sugar in red, from Overstock a few years ago...I just assumed that this Yellow set I ordered was made in Germany, as the red set I have...very disappointed in the quality and fact that it was not mentioned that some of their products are now being made in China.

Overstock misrepresented item in description
I will be returning the items for a refund. I purchased these items to add to my collection of Waechtersbach dishware. I was disappointed to learn that these items were Made in China and not in Germany as described. I have been doing my absolute best to avoid buying items Made in China, because almost everything is these days.

My boyfriend had been asking me to find a fun sugar bowl because he was tired of dealing with the sugar canister every day. I shopped around for a while and finally settled on this cute little set. I was so excited when they arrived, only to open the box to find some weird black edges on the inside rim of the sugar bowl. I was even more disappointed when I flipped over my "handcrafted in Germany of high-fired ceramic earthenware" to find the Made in China stickers. We decided to keep them anyway and they work fine for our daily cup of coffee, but I don't think Overstock should be advertising German quality when they are selling crap made in China.
