First off the instructions were very difficult to understand and made assembly difficult. No parts were labeled. After I got it togeather I cut about 12 pieces of 1/4" plywood and about 6 pieces of 3/4" plywood and the saw started making a loud popping noise and with each pop a bright flash of white light would come from the motor. I called WEN tech support. The person acted like he could care less about my problem but finally said the saw probably had a bad armature. I said it is brand new right out of the box. He replied it must have been bad right out of the box. I did not like being talked down to when they made a shoody product to begin with. He said I could send it back for repair at my cost. I will never buy another product with the WEN name on it.Read More

Assembly of the base instructions were pretty slim. Had to try to match rough illustrations with actual pieces and start-restart several times as the stand/frame did not work. Eventually assembled the based frame after several hours. Apart from that, saw assembly was OK but directions were still hard to follow and required start-stops before I was comfortable with safety of assembly. Eventually it all came together but a lot of wasted time and effort was required. If placing on a fixed table-top or bench would not need or use the base assembly so this would not be a problem...be don't expect much useful guidance if you plan to assemble.Read More

How to Safely Use a Table Saw
A table saw is a staple in most woodworking shops because of its simplicity and versatility; if a project requires straight cuts, the table saw can get the job done quickly and accurately. Because the tool's design is so simple, novice woodworkers may not take the time to learn how to use a table saw safely. A mistake while using any kind of saw could carry serious consequences, including amputation and death, so before you fire up your table saw, make sure you're taking the proper precautions.
How to Safely Use Power Saws
If you like doing home-improvement projects but still want to have free time to enjoy the finished product, a power saw is an essential tool to speed up your projects. Whether you have a circular saw to cut planks for a new deck or a jig saw for fine woodworking, knowing how to use your saw safely is of utmost importance. Fortunately, running your power saw like a professional doesn't take much time.
How to Use a Hand Saw
Even with today's plentiful assortment of power saws, many carpenters keep a hand saw around for special projects. Hand saws come with a variety of blade lengths and tooth configurations to allow you to cut different wood types. Hand tools require no electrical connections or batteries since you operate them manually, and they are a good back-up option when you're working in an area where electrical power is not available. Using a hand saw is simple, but it takes a little muscle and a bit of technique to cut wood efficiently.
How to Choose a Miter Saw
Miter saws, also commonly referred to as "chop saws," are one of the most useful power tools in a carpenter's arsenal. A miter saw performs the same tasks as a traditional hand saw, but it does the job in a fraction of the time and with a cleaner cut. Nearly any woodworker can justify the purchase of a miter saw for the home workshop, but with four different styles of saws available from many manufacturers, you have a lot of choices. Check out the following tips to help you narrow down your decision and find the right miter saw for you.
How to Choose Band Saw Blades
Choosing the right band saw blade is important for both the quality of your work and your safety. When choosing a band saw blade, consider the project ahead: the type and size of blade for your saw matters just as much as the material that needs to be cut. While selecting the wrong band saw blade can cause undue stress and danger to you if the saw blade breaks, the proper blade can be a valued, long-lasting tool. Paying attention to the details ensures efficient, safe work with quality results.
How to Buy a Wet Saw
A wet saw is a useful power tool for anyone who will be cutting tile. Wet saws achieve a clean cut without breaking the tile by using a diamond-encrusted blade that rotates the saw through a pan of water as it cuts. The water keeps the saw blade cool, which prevents tile breakage and helps protect the saw's motor. Some wet saws are also capable of cutting through dense metals and brick. For a single weekend project, renting a power tool such as a wet saw may be more economical than purchasing one, but if you'll be cutting tile more than a time or two, owning one of these handy power tools is worth the investment.

How to Choose and Use Power Tools
There's no question that the right power tool can help you complete the job more efficiently than traditional hand tools. The success you have with your power tools is dependent on purchasing the right tool and using it safely. For many do-it-yourself home improvement projects around the home, portable power tools, such as drills and sanders, are ideal because they can be easily stored when they're not in use. If you're outfitting a garage or workshop, you'll likely be considering stationary tools, such as table saws and drill presses, as well as more portable power tools.
International Shoe Sizing Buying Guide
If shoe sizes are listed using a system you aren't familiar with, it can be difficult to know how to buy shoes that will fit. Most of the shoes listed on Overstock.com are in U.S. sizes, which can make purchasing shoes online confusing if you are shopping internationally. This international shoe size conversion guide is here to give you an easy reference when you're shopping for shoes online. If it has been a while since you measured your feet, you'll want to do that first. Measure them late in the day, as they tend to be larger at this time. You should also wear the socks you plan to wear with your shoes. Have a friend trace your foot on a piece of paper, so you can stand up straight. Measure the tracing, finding the length of your foot in inches closest to the next 16th inch. Find the width of your foot, and then measure your other foot; use the measurements from the largest foot when referring to the shoe size conversion table. Remember that, even with the right shoe size, shoes from different manufacturers will fit differently. Be sure to read customer reviews to see if the shoes you are shopping for run true to size.

Nightstand Buying Guide
To create a balanced atmosphere in your bedroom, finding the right nightstand is essential. A nightstand is an end table for the bedroom. In almost every case, it stands beside your bed as a useful space for storing and displaying the things any good end table might: a table lamp, an alarm clock, a book or magazine, a pair of glasses, a small plant, a drinking glass, a framed picture. All night stands are built with your basic bedside requirements in mind, but there are important distinctions in nightstand utility and style. Luckily, this nightstand buying guide gives you all the information you need to determine how to buy a nightstand that brings you closer to the bedroom of your dreams.
Entertainment Center Buying Guide
While your television set may be the focal point of your home entertainment activities, what it sits on -- or in -- says a lot about who you are. Is your TV still sitting atop that beaten up particle board TV stand that you bought at a garage sale 10 years ago? Perhaps it's time to upgrade your living room furniture, starting with a new entertainment center. Home entertainment centers have been around a long time and have evolved quite a bit from the massive wooden cabinets of the 1960s and 1970s. Which entertainment center is right for you will depend on what you want to use it for, the components you want it to store and your personal taste in furniture.
How to Choose the Right Dog Kennel Size
One of the first things you need for a new dog is a quality dog kennel. The right dog kennel can help potty train your puppy, make traveling and vet visits with your dog easier, and give your dog a cozy place to curl up at night or to keep out of mischief while you're away. The wrong size dog kennel, however, can make things uncomfortable for your pooch and a pain for you. As a rule of thumb, kennels and crates should be at least 4 inches taller and longer than your dog and allow him to stand, sit, and turn around easily. You'll also want to make sure there is water and a blanket or towel in there for him. These guidelines can help you find the right fit for your pup when shopping for dog kennels.
How to Arrange End Tables
In today's fashion, the end table can really be put just about anywhere. You've seen end tables located near recliners, on either side of the bed, behind a couch, against a wall and next to bookshelves. End tables look fabulous as a room's main focus point or merely as an afterthought, but you waste their potential if you just let them stand empty next to a bed or couch. They can be even more attractive when decorated. Keep reading for ideas on how to arrange end tables in your home.
