    We highly recommend outside mounting this roller shade, and ensuring that your shade is at least 3 to 5 inches larger in width and height than your window to minimize light gaps (this is because the fabric comes 1.5 inches smaller in width than the size ordered).

    For inside mounts, you must order the exact size of the width of the top of your window. For example, if the width of the inside recess of your window is 50 inches, you must order a 50 inch blind. When installed, the mounting will be approximately 1/8 inch smaller than your window, ensuring a proper fit. Remember, that the fabric is approximately 1.5 inches less in width than your ordered measurement. So a shade ordered at 50 inches will have fabric that is approximately 48.5 inches wide. This means an inside mount will have a light gap totaling 1.5 inches on both sides.
