I thought this product was absolutely beautiful on my screen; I also felt that Overstock provides quality products at reduced prices. It's not that I am disappointed; I'm just not completely pleased...the mirrors seem cheaper than I was expecting; the sinks are not wide or deep (I get water all over the counter when washing my face); the chrome ring that provides a nice finish to one of the vent holes in sink is missing (didn't know until after several weeks of receiving due to remodeling time frame) and while the description claims to be real wood the finish feels and looks like it has a 'plastic' coating on it. The hardware needs to be re-tightened repeatedly. There isn't a lot of room under the sink as this area needs to also accommodate the plumbing. My contractor thankfully notched out the baseboard trim in bathroom so unit could fit against wall snugly or there would have been a gap behind 'back-splash'. I have to keep it as it weighs a lot and my contractor had it all installed when I got home. I am not disappointed; I think it is beautiful it just isn't as functional as I wanted/needed. I expected for what I paid that I would be able to say I was completely thrilled with it...sadly I cannot.
This product continues to cause us problems. The counter came scratched (Overstock did pay for someone to buff it), then we found holes and cracks on the side (luckily it was the wall side). Now the doors seem to be separating on us. It dings really easily as well. I would not recommend it at all for the money we paid. This is the second item we have gotten from Overstock that has had problems. We will not be buying from here again.
We finished installing the vanity last night and we couldn't be more happy, it looks gorgeous. The marble looks amazing against our blue/gray bathroom walls. The cabinet doors and drawers are all slow close, which was a nice surprising feature. As for installation, it is built for use of two separate drain lines but since we were replacing a single sink vanity, we had to split our drain lines and cut holes into the cabinetry. If you have the right tools, this isn't that hard to do. Also, to set in place it comes with wingnuts that fasten the sink latches in order for it to stay in place but we were missing 2 wingnuts from our order and had to go out and purchase them.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Yes, the cabinets are very dark, a great contrast to the marble.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Great quality!
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? Site describes the hardware (knobs) as brushed nickel but they are more of an antique brass.
