Can this sink be mounted in the counter, making it a drop in style? It is just the right size, but I need a recessed sink.
I bought this for a guest bathroom. We converted an antique dresser we found at a sale to a vanity and needed a top mounted sink so that we could save as much of the dresser for storage. The copper sink and elite vessel sink faucet are a perfect match. It looks far more expensive that it was. My SO feels this is his favorite bathroom now (which is good because it leaves the whirlpool bath in our master all for me.) We are really proud of how it looks. Buy it!...

Hello Tstrumbull, you will be contacted by Customer Care. Have a great day.
Why did you choose this product?
new home construction. will use this in the half bath with granite top and rustic vanity.
I have been wanting a vessel sink for my bathroom, but because I have great grandchildren, I do not want glass. I decided on copper and I was about to purchase online somewhere else when I remembered Overstock, lo and behold this looks like exactly what I want! I have never been disappointed thus far with purchases and the reviews were excellent. Looking forward to my purchase!
I am unclear if there is a drain to go with this sink as the specs indicate a 1.5 or 1.25 drain ..most drain specs note a size of 1.75
Hi sammy969, we were able to verify this information with our support team. The opening is 1.5 inch diameter. We recommend item numbers 14107062 or 14118581, for best results. We hope this helps. Thanks for shopping with us.
I am confused about the size of the hole needed in my Granite counter top. The drain opening size is 1.625", but the seat at the bottom of the sink is over 2". I assumed that the hole should be large enough so that lip under the sink that the drain goes through sits flush with the counter top which would be about 2.5".
The drain when installed holds sink in place in addtion to the Clear silicone adhesive mentioned in the installation instructions
The drain is 1.625 ( 1 5/8 inch ) so it can accommodate a 1.5 ( 1 1/2 ) or 1.25 ( 1 1/4) inch drain. The hole has to be larger than the drain so it will accommodate the drain.
What is the gauge go the copper? Thanks
Thank you for your interest. We are currently looking into this. Your answer will be posted as soon as possible.
Matching a Vessel Sink to Your Bathroom
Part of the challenge of remodeling is blending fixtures and hardware, such as a bathroom sink, with other elements of your room decor. Unique bath fixtures, such as vessel sinks, can introduce special challenges. A vessel sink is not meant to blend into the countertop as other bathroom sinks do. It's often a focal point for the room. Below are some tips on incorporating a bathroom vessel sink into your bath decor.
How to Buy the Right Drain for Your Bathroom Sink
A new bathroom sink can completely transform and update your bathroom. Whether you choose a dramatic red vessel sink or a simple antique pedestal sink, a new bathroom sink will make a big difference in the look of your bathroom. Smaller items like the best bathroom sink drain and faucet will also make a statement. Many bathroom sinks will include parts for the sink drain, but some vessel sinks will require you to select your own drain. If you choose to purchase a bathroom sink that requires a separate drain purchase, then consider these tips to help you find the right sink drain for your bathroom.
How to Install Vessel Sink Faucets
An elegant vessel sink can add a touch of modern flair to any bathroom. How to Install Vessel Sinks
Style and luxury can be added to any bathroom by installing a vessel sink. Two installations are popular: You can either rest the bathroom sink directly on the countertop or cut a hole in the countertop and lower the vessel down so that the sink bowl is partially recessed. Once you've installed the countertop and sink faucet, you'll be ready to install the vessel sink itself.

Replacing old bathroom sinks can give new life to your bathroom. All you need is a few tools, your new bathroom sink and a few detailed steps to replace that old sink and give your bathroom a whole new look.
Vessel Sinks vs Traditional Sinks
The addition of a vessel bathroom sink can really add style to your bath remodel, but before you decide to go with a vessel sink, you may want to know how they compare with the traditional sinks you're familiar with. Here's a side-by-side comparison of the two types of bathroom sinks.
