The quality of excellent. The set is a great value because of the number of pieces in each place setting. I love the colors. Perfect for a new Florida home with a monochromatic kitchen. However, be forewarned the set is bright & busy. So dishes are best suited for casual use & will only look good with solids colors.

My wife and I argued about this purchase. She thought the fact that is was fine china would mean it was unsuitable for day to day use. I said, what the heck the price is right and the colors really work with our newly painted interior. If they scratch they scratch and we will replace them. The question is how long will they last? They are light weight, fine china. We put them in the dishwasher but not the microwave. We have only had them for a month. So far, no chips or scratches and we are not babying them.They shipped right away, well packaged, everthing intact. I like the look and I am happy with the purchase.

I grew up with Villeroy & Boch Dinnerware, so when I saw this deal, it was a no-brainer. The price cannot be beat, the quality and durability of Villeroy & Boch products is top notch and there are many items (serving bowls, platters, pitchers etc.) that you can buy individually to complete your set. The colors are true to the picture, and the mugs add a contemporary touch, rather than having traditional coffee cups and saucers. If you go to the manufacturer's website and add all the individual items to your cart, you will end up with a total close to 500,-. The set arrived very well packed in about 4 days. I could not be happier.

These dishes are fabulous! The quality is everything one would expect from Villeroy and Boch and the price on Overstock just cannot be beat. I looked all over for an equal or at least close in price deal as I was worried about breakage during shipping. As it turned out I had worried unecessarily as everything arrived in perfect condition. I'm using these dishes for everyday casual dining but they are beautiful enough for special occasions, if that is your need. I really like the fact that they are lighter and finer than most everyday dinnerware.

I have always enjoyed the Villeroy and Boch dinnerware patterns. The compony is very reputable and it shows in their products. I chose this pattern for my daughter will be moving into an apartment. The reason I chose this brand over others...durability. This dinnerware can be placed in the dishwasher. This brand dinnerware may be used in a formal dinner setting or may be used in everyday situations. I chose this particular pattern, because of the colors and liveliness of the design. This pattern truly brings sunshine to every meal. The pattern can be mixed with another Villeroy and Boch pattern to add a little pizzazz or it may be used in combination with complimentary colors for accessorries. A great dinnerware set at a great value.

Box arrived a little banged up but the dishes were well wrapped and arrived without damage. The set is a great deal compared to department store pricing. Love the dishes. They are very colorful and "happy". I look forward to using them for many years!

We ordered the product from Australia because of the price (local price is considerably higher and there is no 50 piece set available locally). Excellent service from Overstock.com. Several pieces arrived broken and the packaging, in my view, requires improvements. We could replace the broken pieces locally, and Overstock.com offered a proportional refund which is $$$ lower than what we spent for the replacement. Nevertheless we believe we made the right decision to shop at Overstock and would be happy to do it again.

I just received my set yesterday & I'm tickled with them. They were very well packed & not a thing was broken or chipped. I got so sick of large heavy stoneware & really needed a change -- this is perfect! I read alot of reviews on alot of sites before I ordered these & they are said to wear extremely well. I plan on buying additional pieces as I am able to. I like their size, their lighter weight, the fact that they will fit so much better in my dishwasher, & the variety of sizes in the plates & bowls. Great set! Very cheerful - they make me smile.

I've had this set nearly two years - it really is highly durable. I have only lost one small plate and a chip in one dinner plate. Compared to other dinner sets, this one holds up like a champ.

This was an incredible purchase. I got a real bargain. Villeroy + Boch is top-notch. The feel of it is just exquisit, luxurious. Fine bone China but casual. Such a sunny set. i sue this every day. I have had a couple of chips already but I've replaced the individual places easily (at the mall).

The dinnerware looks awesome, no broken pieces or nothing like that. We are very happy with our purchase. The colors add a touch of "sunshine" to our meals.

I bought this porcelain set as a year-end gift for my daughter after searching in both brick stores and online for a month. I wanted well-made dinnerware with a cheerful yet elegant design. I also wanted flat (traditional) plates that would fit easily in her dishwasher, as her previous dinnerware had the scooped-out (concave) and oversized plates that made it very difficult to load in the machine. My daughter loves her Villeroy & Boch set. The set is even more beautiful than in the online pictures.

This set of dishes is a great value. They look great and can be mixed and matched with other Alea Twist pieces. When mine arrived, two of the soup bowls were broken. Customer Service was great to work with. After being notified, they immediately sent out two new bowls and did not request I send back the entire set. I highly recommend this set of dishes.

These are exactly what I wanted and expected. While not as heavy as, say, earthenware, they have enough "heft" to make them useful in a family setting. They wash up great in the dishwasher. All in all, a great value. I want to mention that the packaging in which the dishes arrived was amazingly skimpy. That notwithstanding, only one item--the large serving bowl--arrived broken and I am now working on arranging its replacement.

I received this set a week after placing my order... these dishes are beautiful! Some of the soup bowls arrived broken, I couldn't belive it. I thought I'd have to send back this 50lb package to get a few bowls replaced but that wasn't the case. I called Overstock and they were great!! They replaced all the soup bowls even though not all of them were broken and I get to keep all of them. Awesome customer service, I highly recommend.

This is a beautiful set of china and very durable. Bought it for every day use but have used it for company. The price for this set of china is amazing. Everytning arrived in perfect shape - very well packed. If you want a nice set of china that ihas cheerful colors, this is it. You can't go wrong.

I ordered this one because the company is located in my Hometown of Selb/Bavaria. My Father used to work for the previous owner/company under the name " Heinrich Porzellan Fabrik" before Villeroy & Boch took over. All my China is from my Hometown not only from Villeroy & Boch also from Hutschenreuther and Rosenthal.
