So I own modern low furniture, and thought this would be a great piece. Until I received it, and as I attempted to build it, i discovered the item was so defective that I must return it. The Base is a simple paper like laminate placed over a piece of corrugated wood. The edges on this were frayed at various locations. The Chrome Bars, it must be far be the cheapest version of chrome I have ever seen in my life, the chrome plating was visibly warping off of the metal. There wee highly visible dents and dings on it. All together the quality of this piece is worse than most inexpensive products you may see at the cheapest furniture place you know of. Save yourself a headache and dob't buy it!

Pretty easy to put together and very elegant and modern. It was a bit of an adjustment because the top shelf is fixed position and a little low. when sitting you are looking a little down.
