Victorian Satin Nickel 10-inch Raindrop Showerhead

Pros: This shower head is amazing. I originally had a smaller water pik shower head. First time I turned it on, I immediately took out my camera and posted a video of it on my facebook. Funny part was I have a 3 knob shower and only turned on the middle knob and the knob on the right(which meant the video I shot only showed HALF the total pressure it could pump out. Lets just say Im a big guy and when all three knobs were cranked, it pushed me back in the shower. I had to turn the knobs down not only so I could breathe, but so I wasn't standing in a foot of water. Cona: if you pay for your own water bill, or have your own home and have a small tank, this shower head will empty it in a matter of 5 minutes on full go. I live in a apartment complex where we get free heat and hot water so I love it, plus the drain in my tub is not clogged so the water drains perfect, even when its full blast. Another thing, its tough to get yourself washed because this shower head comes with no arm. I have it screwed in from the arm sticking out of the wall, but no arm to move it away from you when you wash yourself. Only way I can compare this shower head to anyone who hasn't used it is its like those water falls at water parks. The lazy susans where you float around on tubes and random waterfalls completely drench you, thats how this feels. When I put my head under it literally feels like you are standing under a waterfall in some tropical island just washing all the ocean water off your body. Cleanest I have ever gotten, no way you cant be totally clean after you shower with this beauty.

Great shower head and excellent value for the price. Looks great and you can tell it's well constructed. The water flow is also exactly what a rain shower head should be. The only drawbacks are that openings seem to easily get clogged resulting in the water to be sprayed in random directions. (Although this could also be the result of the water quality where we live.) Also, as was mentioned on another review on here, there is no swivel on the shower head. So if your pipe does not come perfectly straight down from the ceiling, the shower head will be attached at an angle.

I didn't realize this type of shower head existed, til I stayed in a hotel with a 8" raindrop shower head. After a google search, it yielded overstock.com to have the best price. I ordered the shower head, it arrived quickly (same state), then came the installation. All the rain drop shower heads, in my research, were be to mounted straight down with a 15" to 17" shower arm bent at 90 degrees. I didn't want to have the rain drop shower head projecting straight down, but at a 45 degree angle as I experienced at the hotel. Since I ordered the 10" shower head, my current shower arm was too short. So I purchased an adjustable extension shower arm that mounts to my current arm. Purchased from my local Home Depot for $20, the adjustable arm was too weak to hold up the 10" rain shower head. When the shower head was turned on, the arm would slowly start lower (poor quality arm) from the weight of the water and shower head itself. My solution was a 12" shower arm with a 45 degree bend. Had to order that from another on-line store. The 10" rain drop shower head works great, feels great. I was a little concerned about not having enough water pressure for all the nasals to project water, but after a couple of seconds of turn on the water, the rain drop shower head angled at 45 degrees, works just fine.

This shower head is awesome!! I looked all over and compared prices and sizes and this one (we purchased the brushed nickel) was a great deal for the price. It is heavy and substantial and my husband LOVES to stand underneath it. Although it does not come with a down-rod, I found one on xxxxxx for a very reasonable price (including the trim piece that joins it to the ceiling). The shower head was easy to install and I don't see us having ANY problems with it in the future. Thanks Overstock!!!!!
