I was skeptical ordering this set without actually seeing or sitting on it... It arrived QUICKLY in PERFECT condition and is GORGEOUS. It is extremely heavy and has huge seat areas, plus the wood grain is EXCEPTIONAL. The large leaf stores safely, right under the table. I was long overdue for a new kitchen table. I have a good size kitchen area, so I needed a dinning table to accommodate the space. The challenge was to find something I like and affordable. I couldn't tell from the picture, how nice the table & chairs really show. But I took a chance and bought the table ,6 chairs (no arm chairs) along with 2 matching countertop stools. I assembled them myself without any problems and without hubby's help.... although he did supervise while he drank a glass of wine. I liked the lines, inlay and color of the table. I wasn't crazy about the ivory seats, so I bought some fabric that I really liked , scotch guarded it and while I was at it , I had my neighborhood upholstery guy place some thick cushion and support . Wow... the look went from nice to beautiful. I've had the furniture for a almost 5 months now and have had a few tiny nicks show up from the grandkids playing at the table. I have never owned dark furniture before, but a friend told me to take a brown sharpie to the nick ... unbelievable it blended right in. I hope this table holds up as long as my old one did. Although, you really couldn't see nicks on light colored wood ... so we will see.

This was easy to assemble, and looks wonderful in my kitchen. It has a very classy look!

I am so pleased with the quality of this product! It arrived a week after I ordered it and my husband had it together in 2-3 hours. Can't beat the price. The only reason I gave 3 stars for ease of assembly is because of the weight of the table. It's very heavy, you need some strong arms to put it together. Otherwise it's very easy to screw on the legs for both table and chairs

THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME BUYING FROM OVERSTOCK.THE SET IS WELL BUILT AND TAKES ABOUT 2 HOURS TO PUT TOGETHER.IT IS A VERY GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY.MY ONE COMPLAINT IS THE SET IS MUCH DARKER THAN THE PICTURE OF IT.IT IS A LOT CLOSER TO A WALNUT COLOR THAN A LIGHT OAK.MY WIFE STILL LIKES IT ANYWAY.

Love the set. Was in good shape upon arrival, however, after assembly noticed few dings on a couple of chairs. My husband did a llittle touch-up and now ok. Love the extra wide seats. Table is very heavy and secure. Arrived well ahead of expected date. Everything I have purchased from Overstock.com is always more than I expected. Very happy with the company.

This dining set is so beautiful and well made. The table and chairs are extremely solid and the set is simply gorgeous. I was delighted when it was set up in my dining room. The finish is rich and the style is elegant. I would highly recommend it. Delivery was fast and hassle-free. I received this set as a give from my mother. It was easy to assemble and looks great in my kitchen. The table will fit 4 people comfortably (6 with use of the leaf) Wood inlay border on top sets this table off along with the cuved legs. The chairs are well made and sturdy. They also have a large padded seat area.
