The mixer is really a poor product. The speeds are really not any different. The stand is flimsy and the mixer comes off very easily. The mixer smelled like smoke the first time I used it making a cake! the beaters are hard to clean off because of the the design. It is just a bad product!
I was looking for something simple - a hands-free mixer (therefore a stand mixer) and rotating mixing bowl. It does stand - the bowl does not rotate - and the machine is lavendar. What I will say is thatr Overstock does make returning an item extremely easy. I have bought a number of things from Overstock, and this is my first disappointment.
I refused to pay couple hundred dollars for a standmixer, and am glad to have found this one! The bowl is very roomy and the height of the mixer allows ample room to work. It's powerful enough for regular cookie mix. I found clean up quite easy.
OK. i wanted a dough hook mixer! And this does it. But it is not like a commercial mixer (surprised?), so if you had the money, buy UP. If you don't have the money and only do dough once in a while like me - this is ok. It is larger than it needs to be. The bowl is pretty cheap plastic. But works. So this fits my needs until I am a culinary chef, then I will give it to my daughter. smile.
I've never had a mixer quite like this one. It mixes my cake batter to perfection every time and continuous to amaze me every time. It's quite compact and it's the ideal size for me. I like it.
The mixer can be used for no longer than 3-5 minutes and in spite of having dough hooks in can't mix through the dough without getting overheated. There are not many recipes that call for such a low powered mixer. If you are single and will rarely use this product it for you.
Bought this after reading the other reviews on other websites. This makes frostings in a snap. This is very reasonable and I'm impressed with its performance and its multiple control setting.
I've had this mixer for 3 months now and I love it. I don't have to scrape the sides and I didn't have to pay $400 for it. I don't think it would survive bread kneading too well, but for all other purposes it is great.
This stand mixer does its job and it's good enough for not being the most expensing one, good price. I got this almost 2 months ago and have used it about 10 times to make cookies. It does not have as much power as the $500 dollar blender, but it works great the way it is.
I got this mixer and have used it a few times. I like the multiple speeds and it mixes cake batter quite well. It also whips up egg whites easily to soft or hard peaks and whips up heavy cream into whipped cream very fast. Not bad for the price.
