Perfect
I was a bit aprehensive when I purchased this piece and the matching nightstand. Neither had good reviews when I bought them but I took a chance. I am so glad that I did. I wanted a very rich dark wood to furnish my guest room. I didn't want a huge set since it would only be used when I had guests. This set was perfect. A few have complained about the assembly. I will say this... it seems that the sturdier the furniture, the harder it is to put together. If you want everything tight and sturdy then you shouldn't look for an easy assembly. Tight screws are good! Yes, you will need a good power drill, and I do recommend having 2 people to do the assembly. The instructions are good. If you take your time and really look at the pictures to figure out your next step, you should do okay. If you have these tools and 2 people, it should take about 2 hours. Feel free to use a hammer if a screw won't start. It really helps. As for the size, before you buy this piece, measure out where you want to put this and how much room you want it to take. Then compare it to the size of this item. If you are planning to use this yourself as a dresser, chances are, this piece is going to be smaller than you want. In my case, it was perfect b/c I wanted to keep the room uncluttered but still furnished. I didn't want huge furniture. I would say, this is more like a short chest of drawers than a dresser. And yes, it's true the drawers are not very deep. Currently, I am still looking for a mirror to put up that matches this piece to complete the look. The bottom line is, I searched and searched for this look in the stores and just couldn't find anything unless it was veneer (and it costed just as much!). This is real wood (drawers and backs are dense partical board I think) and so I dont have to worry about the tiniest little thing ruining the finish, or peeling veneer. I have yet to be unhappy with anything that I have gotten from Overstock. The shipping is fast, everything is packaged well, couldn't ask for more. Thanks again Overstock!

nice product.....but....
This is a good product but the image is deceiving because you are getting a chest of drawers that is at most 3 1/2 feet tall probably shorter.... So if you are a big guy like me you will not beable to use it for jeans and pants. Works for smaller items like t-shirts, shorts and underclothes...

Not bad for the money
Very decent piece of furniture and it looks good. One complaint however - drawers could be deeper (perhaps 4 rows instead of 5 would do it). Depending on your "handyman skills level" it may take anywhere between 1.5 and 3 hours to assemble. I would say if not power drill then at least power screwdriver is a must. Also one tip for you: put in all of the drawers before attaching back panel just to ensure everything is lined up properly.

It is so small!
Although the photo looks like a full-sized dresser, it is only about one yard tall. Don't make the same bad mistake that I did and neglect reading the measurements, unless you need a miniature dresser.

Regretful
This is a very nice looking piece of furniture, and it's rock solid, but that's about the most I can say. It's not very practical. After spending over 8 hours putting it together--that's right, 8 hours--I now have a dresser with 6 drawers that are a mere 4.5 inches deep! The product description claims 6 inches. Not so. I would have sent it back but the return shipping would have cost me close to $50.00.

build your owe dresser
Great product at a great price. Need to have a few hours available for assembly. You build the frame and all six drawers. I know it saves on shipping and production cost but I'm not sure I would have purchased if I knew it had to be built.

Nice piece for the price
The dresser is mostly solid wood and looks very much like the picture. Living in a flood plane, solid wood was important to me as any manufactured pressboard will be destroyed with water (which is one of the reasons I chose this piece). I was surprised that the drawers are made of manufactured wood, however the body and drawer fronts are solid. Assembly was pretty straight forward except that I had never installed drawer pulls before and put them on backward due to lack of clear instruction, but the rest was very easy to follow and I ended up with a nice sturdy dresser with drawers that glide smoothly. Also, as others have mentioned, the drawers are shallow, but with 6 of them we got everything from the old dresser in.

Perfect portions
Color and sizing very accurate - found i had to drill the holes to attach the drawer gliders but other then that it came perfectly packaged (careful it is very heavy!)

Great Buy
We love this piece of furniture! My husband had no trouble putting it together. A screw or two was missing but he improvised. The style is beautiful. The top is lovely and the curved style of the sides and legs makes it look expensive. Too bad we have it hidden in a guest room -- it could go anywhere in the house.

Excellent quality
I have never ordered a piece of furniture on line before but I am so glad I purchased this. This piece is real wood not that pressed stuff. We purchased this piece to add to my 15 year old daughters room and it is perfect. The draws are not real deep but it fits everything she has. This piece looks like I should have paid a lot more for it than I did. Very happy!!
