Oh my gosh! We are so glad we made this purchase! Now we can sleep! Our mattress was beginning to truly bother us as we had made a mistake and bought one too hard. We endured it for 3 years..then I found this topper..IT IS WONDERFUL! Now we both sleep sound.. It is called "Memory" foam as it remembers where it was BEFORE you slept..it goes back to its original configuration..no peaks and valleys..I would recommend this product to everyone! Now I need to get one for our spare bedroom bed!
I bought this thinking it would add extra cushion to our bed. It does , but it certainly didn't act like memory foam. Mattress underneath is only about a year old , and wasn't a cheap one. I have only had it for a very short time ,and already there seems to be a hole where I normally sleep. Not too impressive for the expense and the short time I have owned it ( about a month).
We moved cross country and are renting a vacation rental and the master bedroom bed was killing my back ( I have had multiple back surgeries) and this topper was like a dream. It is almost as good as my regular bed that I have in storage until we close on our house. It had no smell and went right into shape the second that it was taken out of the plastic. We love it!
I purchased this to top our rock hard bed in our camper. It arrived with amazing speed. we took it out of packaging and it soon took shape, there was no offensive odor at all. It is so comfortable I'm thinking of buying one for our bed in the house. I couldn't be more pleased.
I only give a lower rating due to my intended use as a transportable camp bed. The mattress is great when flat and feels very nice on the floor (or subsequently a bed), but the ventilation holes cause excess stress points in the fabric when you roll the mat back up. This leads to tearing of the material from its own weight. If you want this for the original purpose of putting on your old bed or using as a quick guest bed, then it is a very good deal, but if you ever intend to roll it up for storage and/or transport, then get one without the ventilation holes. I am going to buy another type for this purpose and use this one on my bed because it is very comfortable.
