Looked for large lighting to go over 120" table, this is a 12 light chandellier and is more beautiful than even I expected. I shopped everywhere and found most to my liking to be in the $1500-1975.00 price range. This is a find. Recommend putting the center piece together and hanging just that before adding the arms and crystal. makes it much easier to assemble. Statement piece for sure!
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? It is crystal with shiny silver underneath crystal beading. Elegant.
Please tell us about the quality of the product. This comes in a box and each tiny piece is seperately wrapped. Although it apprears overwhelming, my husband put this together in under 2 hours.
How accurate was the on site description of the product? It is contemporary, elegant, traditional with a silver twist.
I received this chandelier and although I was initially nervous about having to put it together, I was able to do it with 1 tool and a bit of creativity by using the styrofoam in the packaging to prop up the chandelier while I put the arms on. It wasn't hard, just a little tricky at first. The directions are vague but it has an 800# directly to the company (not O) and they were EXTREMELY helpful. It took me 30 mins to affix all the arms and I went slowly. Although the company said they could easily walk me thru the electrical wiring I opted for my electrician to do that part when he hung it. After he wired it (took him 15 mins total) I hung all the crystals. Alittle tedious but easy. Very straight forward. Let me tell you this is an INCREDIBLE chandelier. I have several Schonbeck chandeliers and you would not know this was a $300 chandelier. It is a WOW piece. It's very different than my other chandeliers which I wanted. It is more ornate. Worth every penny!!! Don't hesitate ***NOTE-a cpl pcs came cracked. The company (not O) sent me replacements in 2 days.
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? PERFECT
Please tell us about the quality of the product. This is a high quality chandelier
How accurate was the on site description of the product? very
RECEIVED THIS CHANDELIER VERY QUICKLY. PACKED VERY WELL ALTHOUGH I HAD A FEW MISSING CRYSTAL PIECES THAT I HAVE TO CALL OVERSTOCK ABOUT. MY ELECTRICIAN-NEPHEW HAD TO PUT THIS TOGETHER FOR ME AND HARD WIRE IT. UNLESS YOU ARE ELECTRICALLY SAVVY, HIRE AN ELECTRICIAN. THE PIECE TURNED OUT GEORGIOUS -- I WAS A LITTLE NERVOUS ABOUT THE QUALITY BUT IT IS TRULY A STUNNING CHANDELIER. I BOUGHT A CEILING MEDALLION TO COMPLIMENT THIS CHANDELIER. KUDOS TO OVERSTOCK !
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? BETTER IN PERSON
Please tell us about the quality of the product. LOOKS LIKE I SPENT WAY MORE FOR THIS CHANDELIER
How accurate was the on site description of the product? GOOD
This chandelier is so beautiful and so worth the price, my husband and I installed it in less than 2 hours. Everything comes in pieces but not hard to assemble, a chandelier this size is over 1k at our local light store. My bedroom looks like a million bux for a fraction of the price, I definitely recommend this beautiful piece.
This sparkling, gorgeous, chandelier is so expensive looking. I get compliments from everyone that visits my home.....I was asked if I brought it back from a European trip! It Looks like a very high end fixture....
I order this chandelier for my open space dining room, it looks so grand and beautiful. Definitely looks like I paid more than what I actually did. It's real crystal and I was surprised about that! If you're looking for a grand chandelier but don't have lots of money to spend, this is the perfect one for you!
I have ordered several chandeliers from overstock and have been so impressed with all of them. This one is exceptionally beautiful. All pieces were wrapped beautifully, great packaging. It took my father several hours to fix and he used mostly his own ideas to install since the instructions were very minimal. For example, there were 12 separate wires that he needed to tie together but they wouldn't all touch so he cut each one to have more area for the wires to touch and then tied then together. Once up, we were all in awe of its beauty. This is such a bargain piece that may easily be seen in million dollar homes for thousand of dollars. Love the contemporary yet traditional look. I added a dimmer and it is stunning. Thank you again O!

We had to replace the chain with a longer one. The original was only 18" and the unit itself is about another 18". It is 32" wide. This is the hardest light to assemble. Keep shopping!!!jmcw on Nov 30, 2013

We just received our and we are trying to put it together but it seems we are missing the instructions. Please assist.roxurban on May 4, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
You are in for a surprise! Even if you had the instructions, they are SO vague, you'd still end up looking for instructions online anyway. OS claims they can help with installation but they are not helpful. They read product description to me and said it doesn't tell them which wire is which. The wires are the same color!
The chain connects to the "core". Insert the wires from the "core" up the chain and through the metal cover. This is the part you'll be connect to your existing box. I highly recommend you hang this up and connect the wires first before assembling! The wires are your stand neg/pos and ground wire. The end that has the most wires is the end that points up. The bottom should only have one wire (technically two neutral). Once you have it all hooked up, you take the arms and start putting through the metal plate that is located at the bottom of the "core". The plate has holes. The arms that stand straight up go in the holes closest to the core. Then the other ones go on the outside and alternate them.
Once you've secure all the arms, and don't worry, even if you screw them on super tight, the arms still move so you can adjust them. Now, you'll start splitting the wires for each arm and the "core" wire. Grab on wire from each arm and connect to one of the "core" wires. It doesn't matter which one you grab, they're all neutral. We used elec. tape to keep them all together once we bundled them - I recommend this. Then, continue putting the other half of the wire together in a bundle. Screw in a bulb to test. If it works, you're in good shape. Then push all the wires up against the metal plate and screw in the bottom portion. It looks like a big crystal bowl with a metal bowl in it. Be very careful because you don't know when it has actually latched on and will turn until your arms are about to fall off. It never gets tight but if there isn't a gap between the "core" and the "bowl, you're good.
B jewels go on the plates. These plates on all of the arms with a bulb. Cover the bulb extension with the white tubes.
D jewels go on the very bottom of the "core"
C jewels go on the circle things. Loop the circle things around the front arms only.
The long "necklaces" as my daughter calls them hook on the top of the "core" and then hook the other end on one of the plates that is on a front arm. Find a random and hook it on there even if there is a jewel already. I have my plates aligned so the jewels are like a plus sign.
That's pretty much it. I hope it helps and I'm sorry if I don't refer to things correctly. At some point, I just wanted this darn thing put together and hung. Good luck!suzanx on May 4, 2013
Is there glass covering the arms to the lights? I cannot tell from the picture whether it is glass or chrome. Thanks.phrutz on May 4, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
It's neither. It's acrylic or something. Not all parts are crystal and the arms are definitely not crystal.suzanx on May 4, 2013
