I ordered the velvet table runner in fern green. The color is more olive than it appears on screen, and it is prettier. The velvet is not "plushy" so items placed on top do not crush the velvet. The creases from being folded for shipping ironed right out. This is a very plain and basic table runner - not fancy - which is what I needed for everyday use on my craftsman-style table.
I had read reviews that discussed the color (I ordered Fern Green), so I was a little apprehensive. However, this is absolutely perfect! It is a grayer/browner (taupe-er?) kind of green and it works perfectly with so many things. Plus it is well made and very soft. I am so glad I bought it!
If this velvet product comes back wrinkled or folded, I suggest placing a towel over it while ironing. Set your iron to "linen". Don't use starch. Press down with moderate firmness. I use this method for delicate and antique cloths. It's not a very fast ironing method but, it won't damage your runner or any other delicates. I haven't received this product yet but, looks beautiful. I can't wait until it ships.
The runner is plush and velvety and isa perfect addition to our dining room decor. My only concern are the folds resulting from packing and my fear that ironing will diminish the finish.
I got the Fern runner. I love the fabric and it looks fantastic on a coffee table. It is a little more on the brown green side than green but still very earthy.Very nicely made for the $$$$$
For the price, this runner is beautiful. I ordered the claret and the color is much more vibrant in person than on my screen. I was pleasantly surprised. The velvet is not soft, but looks good on the table and is durable.
The FERN color turned out a bit greener than I had expected from the picture (the picture was bordering on gray/metallic). But it worked fine for me. The texture and appearance are otherwise just what you would expect. Very good deal.
I shop a lot online and it's hard to get a true color match. This runner was spot on with the color shown.
