I thought that this Ottoman was a sure fire purchase because of all the positive reviews, however, I have two complaints about it: 1) I ordered the black ottoman, and it is really just a very dark brown. So, it doesn't quite match all of my black furniture. 2) After about 2 weeks, one of the hinges bent on it's own so that ottoman doesn't fully close. We have tried to straighten it out, but it continuously bends and doesn't allow the lid to close completely. Another concern is that it is very shallow, so if you're looking for something with quite a bit of storage, this is not a good ottoman for you. We bought it to put blanket and some baby toys in to have them at hand, but it holds very very little. It is very shallow inside when open. I do like the way that it looks, but those are my complaints. I have to say that I think a lot of people submit a review right after receiving the item, but it is worthwhile to wait a few weeks to write the review to see if the product is really of good quality. I am unhappy about the hinge, and a few spots in the stitching where it is coming undone.

This ottoman will serve the purpose that led me purchase it. I needed additional storage space for throws, blankets, etc., as well as a coffee table. Using a tray on the ottoman will allow for that as well as having a soft place to prop your feet. A small tear on the side is not noticable, so I didn't want to return it. All in all, a pretty good deal.

I ordered a brown ottoman and it really looks black in color. I wish that it look brown, but it is a very nice product in quality and good storage. Overall I am satisfied with the purchase.

This ottoman is sturdy and well made. The storage really comes in handy, and it fits perfectly in the room.

This was just what we were looking for in size and price. It is in our guest room for people to sit on or put luggage, so it is not in a high traffic area. However, it is study and seems like it would hold up. It looks like leather and is true to the deep, rich color in the picture. We wanted it higher and easily switched the legs. Good value.

Great investment. Good price, and BEAUTIFUL quality. The piece is so functional and is so spacious inside. It is comfortable and sturdy. It looks very expensive but the price is great. Buy this.

We have a very small space and was looking for a trunk style ottoman. I was very impress with the quality and size for my small space. The shipping was within a week and I just love it. It is not real leather but the quality is very believable. A good faux leather . love it alot

I've owned this ottoman since November 2010. The seams on the top started coming apart a couple weeks ago. This ottoman barely is used. It is located in an apartment home with an adult and a small child.

For me, the actual item was even better than the picture. I was hoping the product would not have a high glossy or shiny look to it. That's my second storage Ottoman from Overstock,first I purchase about year ago.Compare to first one this feel kinda cheap.First one have nice wood legs,this one comes with black plastic legs and system which opens the top is placed few inches from sides(first one have on the sides)Overall recommended
