This is a nice looking and decent quality ottoman for the price. Comfy foor rest and convenient to place decor and etc on, love the inside storage. The "child safety" hinges are cheap and metal flimsy, those were bent and broken within the first 48 hours. Dissapointing! But we like it enough to keep it, will just remove the child safety hinges entirely.

I would recommend this to someone if they were looking for an inexpensive ottoman. The size and color is great for what I wanted, but I really do not like the plastic legs.

• How is the quality of the product? The quality is OK. It is pretty much you get what you pay for. It is priced pretty reasonable and I really like the way it looks, but the legs are plastic and look cheap. Mine also do not screw on right and they turn if the ottoman gets moved.

Again, for the price paid it was worth it. However, the hinges were broke and the screws were all out when we received it.

This purchase was a big disappointment. The hinges inside we bent and poorly constructed. The screws holding the hinges were crooked and only half-screwed in. The fabric was torn. This product will probably not last more than a few months, but it is too large and inconvenient to return. I wish I had read some of the other reviews before purchasing.

I will recommend it because is handy to have a storage for magazines, and so, in the living room, but I will suggest to change the hardware to withstand the opening and closing.

This is a really nice-looking and good-sized ottoman. The storage is an added bonus for our living room that's filled with kids toys (other storage furniture holds his toys and the ottoman holds blankets and our laptop when not in use). The feet look like wood, but they're plastic. It's not something I'm terribly picky about because surfaces of the piece are what look really nice and most people would pay attention to (the color of micro suede and stitching detail make it look higher-quality). I have no problem with the hinges as other people have mentioned, but they do seem that they might not hold up great over time if used regularly. Overall, this is a really great piece for a great price! Although our living room is heavily used by adults and kids alike, I try to keep it looking trendy and clean, so the ottoman fits in perfectly!

The piece looks really nice and works well, but the feet are plastic (we attached furniture sliders to the bottom to slide around on carpet) and the top cushion feels a bit stiff/cheap (don't recommend heavy adults sitting on it as it seems like you could break through... my 2-y-o son loves sitting on it though!) Overall a nice piece for the price!

Great ottoman for the money. It is huge. Large enough for my husband and I to have our feet up on it. Very comfortable to sit on. Stable enough to hold a dinner plate and glass. Hinges seem pretty strong as well. Order this one. You wont be disappointed. Oh and the black is not a shiny black. It is a high quality leather looking material.

I love this ottoman! It is the perfect size for my living room. My mission is to find a black, square, storage ottoman for under $200. It is hard to find a black ottoman. Most ottomans I found comes in espresso color (closest to black). I need a black ottoman to match with the rest of the furniture. I was afraid the espresso color is not dark enough. Then I found this black ottoman for a very reasonable price. At first I was afraid of the cheap leather look which seems to be the complain of most people here. I left it in my cart for weeks before I finally bite the bullet and purchase it. I'm glad I did. I wish I would have gotten it sooner. The leather doesn't look that high of a quality, but for the price, it’s really not that bad. It’s not real leather, so I’m OK with the look and quality. The storage area is big. Overall, I love it. It’s a multi- purpose ottoman. It serves as a chair, foot stool, storage area & coffee table. One of the best buy from overstock!

I really enjoy these ottomans. I purchased 2 to replace coffee tables in my living room. I have a 5 year old and 20 mo. old that crawl in, out, and all over them.. They have been good for storage and extra seating. the reviews that I read before purchasing were helpful; although some stated that the hinges do not hold up. I am waiting to see if this happens. If it does I will just try to replace the hinges because so far I like this product.

Though I did not keep this item, colour did not suit my needs, I strongly recommend Overstock. There are very few companies that I have dealt with that offer such a high degree of customer service. The 'faux' leather is more like vinyl in the Black color. I've never been one for real leather since fake has always been just fine but this ottoman seemed much cheaper looking than others I've purchased from Overstock. It's not 'shiny' but more of a matte. Overall it arrived quick and undamaged. The hinge is great because of storage, works well. Also the feet of the ottoman are plastic screw on which doesn't really matter because you cannot seem them. Overall, I'd say spend the extra $50 to get the nicer one up! Good luck!

The worst piece of furniture I have ever had. I have barely had it 6 months and all I ever do is put my feet up on it. I store blankets and a snuggie inside it and first thing that goes wrong is a hinge bends to where it doesnt close right nor all the way. Next a spring that only has one staple securing it comes off, then another, I cut open the felt on the inside to find cardboard panels hiding the tiny wood frame that still has the tree bark on it. Then last night part of the wood frame broke, an unrepairable issue. Poorly made with too small of wood and staples for fasteners.

I am happy with this ottoman for the price. Its not the greatest one out there but it's ok . Everything seems to want to catch to it, dust, lint, whether its the color or the vinyl, not sure. I wish i would of shopped around a little more but like i said it's just ok.
