Top to bottom, I'd describe the colors as gold, rust, taupe, and burgundy. I was a bit surprised by the width of the burgundy band. The gold is 3"; rust and taupe bands are about 4" but the burgundy band is 7". The fabric is luxurious and has a high sheen to it. It is fully lined yet does not block all light. Perfect for adding interest to a plain wall.

These beaded valances are a beautiful brown with taupe and mushroom colors in the pattern. The fabric is sturdy. The curtain is not lined. If you have a lot of sun coming in you can definitely see the light through them. However, if that does not bother you they are a great deal! I love mine!

The Andover valance is of nice quality. The design is not too traditional, it is a nice transitional design. As another review mentioned the colors are darker on the screen. I was a little disappointed the background color is more darker like a taupe color than a beige/ivory color. Not a deal breaker-still nice enough to keep.

I absolutely loves these valances. They look like they are from the 30's and 40's, they have a nice vintage look to them. I put them with taupe crickle faux silk sheers. My valances are brown, the beads on the bottom are what helps the vintage look. Yes I would recommend buying these to anyone. I like the quality, they seem well made. They look just like the picture, and they matched the discription.

The vertical ribbons in the curtain are not as dark as pictured. They're a lighter brown color -- not really tan, but kind of a light taupe. I bought four of these valances -- one to go on the window above the kitchen sink and three for around the bay window in the kitchen. They look very nice, and it works well with the bay window. They're long windows with wood blinds, and the blinds take up a lot of space at the top of the window when they're fully retracted. These curtains are long enough to cover them completely. The fabric isn't what I'd call posh, but how often are you standing by your window feeling the texture of the curtains? From the usual distance, they look fine. They hang well. I'm happy with these.
