Just what I needed for my large home with 2 pets! Does very well on the hardwood and area rug. It travels to each room and manages to cover the floors quite well. It looks like it is just going in random directions, but manages to get the floor cleaned. I was afraid that the dogs would bark at it, but they don't seem to pay attention. They did follow it around the first couple times, but sleep while it runs now. The noise does not bother us and we are able to watch TV as it runs. It does bump into things, but not hard enough to hurt anything. It does do better every time and slows down before it bumps into things. I take it into the master suite and shut the door and it cleans the bedroom and bath and walk-in closet and then just stops when the rooms are covered. When it is in the main house, it returns to the charger base when it is finished. I wish I would have purchased one a long time ago. It is quite entertaining to watch it!

I love Neato. I purchased the one for pet and allergy to cut down on the dust. What a difference it makes. I would highly recommend this product. It's amazing to watch it run.

Love this vacuum cleaner. I let it run during the day while I am busy working. It keeps the main areas dust free - I am happy with this purchase!

I first have to say that I love roombas after my first experience with them which was a 7 year love affair that ended just two years ago. Now that I am leaving this very negative review for this model 650 I realize that I owe it to iRobot to go back and review that first model The Discovery 4210 and give it a 5-star across the board review. - A first generation robot that took care of my hardwood floors and pet hair for 7 years. that review is forthcoming. HERE unfortunately is were the review of the new model 650 begins, and it's all downhill so I'll make it brief. It arrived. It charged, it backed up, turned around, and charged forward, it got stuck on the edge of a 3/4 inch low pile rug (no fluff) til it died with an error message and had to be manually returned to its base with a blinding red error light that would not turn off. Day two: again, reverse, turn, charge forward, stuck on edge of rug (not the fibers, mind you, the edge), error message, pick up return to base manually. Day three: repeat.same "error" message except this time the red error message did not go away when placed carefully on its base. after an overnight "charge" still a red error message and would not start, would not "emergency clean", would not do anything. I'm not even sure it even charged except that the red error light stayed on all night and half the next day not on the base. My thought was with a dead battery it would "reboot" next time I plugged in, yet no, just red error. I was now sad. The love of my life was replaced by a shinier newer fraud of a partner. She never did wake back up after those 3 intense days almost like a cheap date I was so excited to find who turned out to be hooked on smack in my bathroom only to be found dead on the tiles by the fourth day of tumult and heartbreak. Yes, I know I said this would be short, but I do truly have faith in iRobot despite the ridiculous price increases on a technology that in my judgement should be getting LESS expensive over time.

I love this machine it did great the first day but then seemed to get confused so I had to downlead the software update from the website and that seemed to take care of the navigation problems and it was able to find it's way back to the home base. My house floors look cleaner.

I researched and debated buying this product for a couple of months before purchasing. I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED IN ANYWAY. I run it every day sometimes twice a day and the dirt chamber is always full of dirt, cat hair, bird feathers, bird dander, bird pellets and even my hair. My floors are so clean == I am so happy! I have one wall to wall carpet left in my home which I am planning to replace with laminate flooring. It is thick pile and pine green (dark carpets show everthing, lint, cat hair) its a nightmare. Well I never expected this little robot to clean it as well as a full size vacuum but IT DID!! I bought the warranty so no worries for at least 3 years. I am getting rid of my full size vacuums and keeping only this. I might even buy the Scooba to mop the floors. Waiting on that one for now. BUY THIS - YOU WONT BE SORRY. My floor cleaning days are over! I hope someday there really will be a Rosie the Robot for sale. Counting the days.

I waited a while to take the giant step into the robtic vacuum world. wow! love this.it feels as if the whole house is just cleaner. having daily vacs done when we didnt get around to it more than weekly before has made such a difference. we have 3 dogs and a cat and plenty of hair. this thing is sort of like a little person...it is such a hard worker! we have area rugs, slate, wood, and travertine in the bath. I am diligent at cleaning brushes and emptying the bin daily. I move the clutter out f the way in the AM before we leave and it is set for 10AM. The dogs get out of its way but are less freaked than I had expected as I have a couple of pretty skittish dogs. the cat could not care less..my husband is totally sold on it and he was quite a skeptic.

Roomba is great to assist with keeping my hardwood and tile floors looking decent in between cleanings. The patterns are not precise so Roomba misses some spots but does a fantastic job overall. I can't wait to purchase another for upstairs.

Love my little robot vacuum for the dogs hair clean up...... One thing I can't seem to find parts for future if I ever need them. use almost daily and does pretty good job, long charge time and approx. 1 hour run time. I couldn't imagine not having my little "Maxx", Have had a dog approx. 3 months and it's great at keeping up floor for dog hair and the sand and dust pulled in from outside. LOVE IT! (so far!) Last note: wish it's rounded edges where a little more on straight side due to furniture that might catch it, but hasn't got stuck yet..........

Why did I wait so long? That sums it up best for me. I should be a salesperson for Roomba. Every person that enters my house not only hears me rave how awesome it is, they also get a demonstration! I know 3 of my friends have purchased one since seeing mine in action.....thinking I should be getting a cut of these sales iRobot executives!!!!!

I vacuum almost every other day now; its fun instead of a chore. This thing is remarkable, no cords, no pushing. If it gets stuck, it calls me. I have to empty it every time, but even that is fascinating, to see how much dirt and dust bunnies are picked up. I used to vacuum once a month at best; now i feel better about myself and my condo. I read or go on the computer while it zips around, have a cup of coffee, and live in a cleaner environment.

I've had my Neato for about 8 months and it works great. I run it twice a week in my upstairs rooms (bedrooms and bathrooms). I wouldnt run it unattended, though. Sometimes it will get stuck on a cord or the edge of a carpet and it needs to be moved. I use a vacuum to clean the hepa filter and that keeps it going longer.

Vacuuming just became fun! I purchased this unit to alleviate back pain from the usual way of doing things and it's a winner. It does an excellent job, goes under the couch smoothly and is rather entertaining to watch. Overall it makes far less noise than a traditional vacuum too. I suggest new purchasers flatten the brushes (as they arrive in a cone shape) by placing them on a shelf with a book on top and by the time the unit charges in 7.5 hours they're ready to snap on flat and round as seen in the ad photo.

Springtime with a Malemute should say it all. I have all hardwood floors with a few painted canvas rugs. I use it daily for fur and dog foot dirt maintenance. It works great with the fur and sand. I do pull the chairs away from the dining table to give it room to maneuver and keep itself oriented in the space. I have noticed that it is important to clean the wheels per the instructions, the fur wraps around the axles and starts to constrict their use. Overall I am very pleased as it works as advertised and does what I bought it for.

The little guy does a great job and cleaning up dust. I love that I don't have to move my furniture to sweep. It can get under the couch and tables. It goes on by itself the same time every day. I love it!

I have 4 BIG dogs that constantly shed (2 French Mastiffs;2 English Bulldogs). Two minutes after I clean my hardwood (very dark) floors they are peppered with hair. I turn on this baby on afterwards and my house stays clean of dog hair (and dust) for a week or longer, until I weekly clean again. Great product, saves oodles of time, gets into deep corners, reliable, quiet, cleans great, all around a winner.

We have named him Spot. We have cats and we suffer from 'tumble-fluffs', those little puffs of fur that float and sail round the floor. Spot takes care of them for us. We have not used the schedule timer so I cannot speak to that. He does NOT cover the entire room, every square inch is not vacuumed so an upright is needed (at least in our home) periodically. He makes a pattern and is especially good at walls and edges.

I wish it weren't so expensive because I would buy everyone I love one of these. It is so nice to come home and the vacuuming is done. I have hardwood floors and area rugs and it cleans both well. I also love how close it will get to walls too. Great edge cleaning. It has had quite a workout as I have a new wool rug which has been shedding alot. I know it is getting the job done because everyday after work I empty the dust tray and it is full. It is not super loud so I don't even mind when it runs when I'm home. In fact, I like to see where it goes and how it tackles any transitions in flooring. Programming and self docking for recharging....fantastic!!!!Everything should be like my roomba. Worth every penny to me.
