We have 2 large dogs that shed a lot. We vaccuum every day and this is the first cleaner that has picked up all the dog hair imbeded deeply in the carpets. I would recommend this to all pet owners.

Well first, , fabulous price. but when they arrived, they were loose in the shipping bag. I took the old vaccuum bag out and these are not exact. They fit, but are VERY loose, so each time I use the vaccuum I am opening the cannister to make sure the bag is still attached. I did jump on these for the price, but am afraid this is one time where I got what I paid for.

Incredible suction! Finally! This awesome little vacuum has given me the edge in the war against pet hair! I'm the owner of 3 cats and a dog, and this vacuum has cut my floor cleaning time in half. Great on my rugs, hardwood floors, tile, and laminate! I'm so glad I no longer have to drag out the broom and dust pan! I can just keep vacuuming from one surface to the next, and I can reach my whole house from one centrally-located outlet! It has also worked great for a quick clean-up of white dog hair on my dark brown bonded leather sofas. This is the first canister vac I've owned, but it's so much easier to maneuver than my old bulky up-right vac...I now have no plans to ever own another up-right! I am happy enough with it overall to give it 5 stars, although I do have a few critiques: As others have mentioned, the cord keeper on the bottom is not terribly convenient, but not awful either - I can definitely deal with it. I'm glad it came with 2 bags because I looked for the required size before it arrived, and couldn't find them locally...Will have to order them online, which is a bit of an inconvenience. I wish the floor sweeper attachment was just a bit wider/bigger to cover more area, but the additional attachments included are great for cleaning fan blades, blinds, etc. And lastly, I notice that the plastic of the hose and the attachments is charged in such a way that pet hair sticks to it like a magnet...I end up having to vacuum a large amount of dog hair off the floor attachment when I'm done vacuuming my rugs, but that's not really a bad thing since it means I'm getting up even MORE pet hair! I can't imagine that anyone would be disappointed with this great little vacuum!

We extensively researched vacuums that were not only within our budget, but reviewed well for pet owners and decided on this one based on past reviews. IT IS A WORK HORSE OF A VACUUM, for sure! When I read in others' reviews it was heavy, they weren't kidding. This has got to be the heaviest vacuum I've ever owned! Thankfully we live in a one story house . . . I can't imagine carrying it upstairs, and I'm fairly young and fit! That's my only real caution! Otherwise, the vac performs beyond excellent for picking up pet hair bare floors as well as carpet and furniture. I do find I have to switch to the bare floor mode for carpets that are not tacked down. The suction is so great on this vac it doesn't function well with the roller on decorative carpets laid on bare floors. However, even with the roller turned off and in bare floor mode it does an excellent job! Love the long cord and all the cubby attachments that are easily at hand. Previously had a bagless vac, but I'm digging the bag. Saves time having to clean after every use. However, there is a musty smell emitted if the bag isn't changed frequently. Probably all of our pet hair and dandruff! Bags are easy to find and change. Only other little issue is the wrap hose comes out of it's encasement way too easy and not always when I need it. Quick fix, just a bit annoying. Overall we are extremely pleased with our purchase. Thanks OVERSTOCK!!!

I liked my old vacuum ok and thought it did a pretty good job but honestly got tired of buying the $$EXPENSIVE$$ Hepa bags that it took. At around $40 for 8 bags I was racking up the costs. I also didn't like the fact that it had no attachments and I had to lug it up and down the stairs and use a separate hand vac to do my carpeted stairs. I have to vacuum frequently because we have pets.. a large dog and 2 cats and as any pet owner can attest to...they shed... a lot!... so it became a pain in the posterior and the wallet. I saw the Shark Navigator online and read the reviews. I couldn't decide whether to go with the lighter (purple) model or the Pro. I chose the Pro because of the larger dust cup capacity and the hard floor attachment and I got a good deal. I was anxious for it to arrive so I could see if it was as good as others say it is... Well, I used my Shark Navigator Pro today for the first time. I was amazed at the suction. I have a large area rug over my hardwood in the dining room and it was actually lifting the rug from the floor. My old vacuum never did that. I was amazed at how clean the rug looked afterwards and appalled at the amount of hair and dust that it picked up. I have not used any of the attachments yet nor the hard floor attachment.. and while this one weighs a bit more than the regular model I think I will be able to manage better than with my old clunker that was super heavy. About the only complaint that I have thus far is that it puts out a lot of heat while vacuuming. You could heat a small room in winter with the heat it seemed to be putting out. I am hoping this is normal and not a defect in my machine. Oh and I bought this refurbished. It came with a 4 page "owners manual" but no instructions on how to assemble it. I was able to figure it out pretty quickly however and no tools were required so it doesn't take an engineer to assemble. Take it out of the box, snap the pieces in place and you have yourself a pretty nice vacuum for the money. I would definitely recommend this vacuum, especially for pet owners. It also has easy empty from top or bottom of canister. Overall I give it a 4.7 out of 5 stars.

We have three large dogs & a big yard with lots of trees, bushes, etc. I've lost count as to how many vacuum brands we have tried! We've used bagged, bagless, $200 machines, $500 machines. So far, this is the BEST we have had! I would buy it again in a minute. The bags are probably smaller than some, but it works SO WELL. Much smaller than my last few vaccuums, but it runs circles around them! Only had this for a month, but have been VERY pleased. If you have a huge house, you might want somehting larger. We have some low-pile carpet & some hard wood & tile. Works well on all surfaces. I would recommend finding bags on-line & buying in bulk. Can't just run to your local discount store to find them.

One of my Labradors was driving me crazy shedding more as he ages. I thought I ordered the Animal vac but got the all floor instead. Dyson says the machines are the same just have different accessories so I ended up having to order the mini turbo brush separately. In any case it is amazing. In the beginning I could only vacuum for 5 minutes or so before the cylinder was full. Just goes to show you what my other vacume...????.. was missing. Probably because I couldnt tell the expensive bag was full. The refurbished machine looks just like new. A friend warned me that there is no local shop to repair them and she had to toss hers when it broke. So I hope it holds up. I am very pleased with the quick delevery from Overstock on the items I have ordered.
