This vacuum is amazing. I have wanted a Dyson for quite some time. After doing much research on the models available, I decided to go with the DC25 Animal since we have 2 dogs at home that shed excessively. This vacuum picks up hairs in areas that a normal vacuum could not. I happened to receive it the day before we were scheduled to have our house professionally cleaned. After the cleaning crew left, I decided to run the DC25 over the carpets that had just been freshly vacuumed. The amount of dirt and hair that it picked up was incredible. I would highly recommend this vacuum for pet owners especially. It lived up to its hype and is well worth the investment. Easy to use, easy to maneuver, easy to clean.

This vacuuum is fantastic! I can use it with the dog in the room (you pet owners know what I mean!) and it has incredible suction. I thought I needed to clean the carpet, but I just needed a good vacuum! It was a little difficult to assemble but well worth the trouble. It has a plethora of on-board attachments which actually make cleaning fun!

I recently adopted two very furry cats and was at a loss for cleaning up the fur. Swiffering and sweeping daily wasn't helping the battle. The refurbished model I bought is perfect! No scratches, no dings & works like a dream! I didn't think I'd ever be excited about something as mundane as a vacuum but I can't stop raving about it to my friends with pets! It's lightweight and easy to assemble the first time and sucks up everything and anything. I wish the attachment for getting under smaller spaces was a bit better- the smaller broom head needs a bit extra effort to use- but even the smaller size still manages to get everything up. It's fantastic too at picking up litter that's been tracked everywhere. Simple to clean out too. Definitely recommend the model- pet owners will love it!

I've been wanting a Dyson for awhile, but just couldn't justify paying $300-$500 for a vacuum. I finally bit the bullet and picked up this refurbished one. I've had it for a few weeks. It does a great job picking up stuff. You wouldn't believe how much dust your other vacuum leaves behind! The dust bin is a little small and you will need to empty it often if you are doing a large area or one that is heavily soiled. The size is great as is it light and pretty easy to store. I'm pleased with this purchase so far.

I needed a new vacuum and didn't want to spend $500 for one, so tried this reconditioned Dyson and have been thoroughly pleased. Two particular notes: 1) I vacuumed up two canisters of dog hair - and I haven't had a dog for 12 years, and have been vacuuming (or at least thought I was) all that time; and 2) very impressed at the ease of disassembling for emptying, cleaning, etc. My previous vacuum required a degree in Engineering to function. Very pleased with quality, price, ease of assembling, and speed of delivery.

I have wanted a Dyson for sometime now but never wanted to spend $500 dollars for it. When I ran into a factory refurbished unit for 1/4 the price I thought it was a good deal. I would do it again in a second. This vacuum is brand new and works great. If I pull the vacuum out you would never know the differance.

We extensively researched vacuums that were not only within our budget, but reviewed well for pet owners and decided on this one based on past reviews. IT IS A WORK HORSE OF A VACUUM, for sure! When I read in others' reviews it was heavy, they weren't kidding. This has got to be the heaviest vacuum I've ever owned! Thankfully we live in a one story house . . . I can't imagine carrying it upstairs, and I'm fairly young and fit! That's my only real caution! Otherwise, the vac performs beyond excellent for picking up pet hair bare floors as well as carpet and furniture. I do find I have to switch to the bare floor mode for carpets that are not tacked down. The suction is so great on this vac it doesn't function well with the roller on decorative carpets laid on bare floors. However, even with the roller turned off and in bare floor mode it does an excellent job! Love the long cord and all the cubby attachments that are easily at hand. Previously had a bagless vac, but I'm digging the bag. Saves time having to clean after every use. However, there is a musty smell emitted if the bag isn't changed frequently. Probably all of our pet hair and dandruff! Bags are easy to find and change. Only other little issue is the wrap hose comes out of it's encasement way too easy and not always when I need it. Quick fix, just a bit annoying. Overall we are extremely pleased with our purchase. Thanks OVERSTOCK!!!

First of all, what a great name for a vacuum: The Cyclonic Momentum. This vacuum cost the same as my old Hoover, but you won't believe the amount of cat and human hair it picked up from carpets that had been recently vacuumed with my old machine. Pet owners, get ready to rejoice! There was enough cat hair in the holding tank to knit a whole litter of kittens. Then, I went over the carpets a second time and retrieved even MORE debris. My carpets have colors and textures I'd forgotten about long ago (and I vacuum and shampoo them regularly). The machine is a bit heavy to lift, but its powerful motor towed me along behind it, making vacuuming easy. This Bissell gets 5 stars, but whoever wrote the instructions gets 0 stars. Boo! Hiss! It's nearly impossible to rely on the photos in the instructions, too. A great product like this one deserves better treatment from the people marketing it.

I have wanted a Dyson for quite some time but I have a hard time spending $500+ on a vacuum. This product came packaged as a new one, perfectly clean with all the parts and works great, at a fraction of the "new" price. It even includes a warranty.

Great item for the price. Easy to put together for me and I am "mechanically challenged". The reviews were right on the money! This vacuum gets the job done with some bonus points on quality and price. So glad I didn't spend $500 for that ***. Not a *** but close enough. Sucked up enough dirt to impress me. I say buy it.

Daughter loves hers. Perfect for the pet owner you doesn't want to drag around the heavy sweepers. Very light weight. Wonderful.

Our $500 Dyson was giving us trouble for the past year or so. After ordering this vacuum but before receiving it, my wife had vacuumed the entire house on her normal schedule of about twice a week. We used this * refurb as soon as we received it and WOW! Even right after vacuuming with our Dyson this picked up a ton more of dirt. After using it for a couple of weeks, all of our carpets and rugs look great. This vacuum also has a smaller head and is much more maneuverable. The attachments are designed better than most and securely attach. I couldn't be more pleased with it.

I've been wanting to get a Dyson for so long since I have cats and a dog. I was fully expecting it to wow me, but it didn't. I thought given the Dyson name plus being billed as a pet hair vac that it would suck the living day lights out of carpet. It doesn't. It's really not any better or worse than the other two cyclone vacuums I've had over the years. Furthermore I find the hose/wand to be very difficult to use. It's heavy and awkward for vacuuming sofas...and what to pet owners have to vacuum more often than not? Sofas! Two other negatives are that it doesn't have a very long cord and the small beater bar attachment can't be stored anywhere on the the unit with the other attachments. It is, however, very nice for vacuuming hard floors. It maneuvers very well with the roller ball. All in all I'm glad I didn't spend my money on a new unit!

I was looking for canister vacuum with power and acceptable price for long time. Personally, I think it is so ridiculous to pay $500 and up for the vacuum, any vacuum. Because the name of the vacuum was unfamiliar I overlooked it. And one day I decided to read the reviews. I bought it. It was the right decision. Very powerful. I have dog and a cat and this little machine do the big job. Very quiet for vacuum with this kind of power. The bags are better. They are not cheap paper bags. Nice design. Beater-bar is steel and that is a plus. It is lighter than it looks. I love the indicator that tells you when the bag is full. Love this vacuum and wouldn't trade for any other especially at that price.

After 10 years, I decided to go back to a bagless, and am glad I did. This is a real vacuum. It is heavy, though. I like that the brush turns off when using the hose and all of the attachments snap into place so they don't fall off. A flexible hose & useful attachments make the machine easy to use. Switching from floor to hose is so easy that I find myself using it every time I vacuum. It is most impressive when used on my tile. It forms a suction against the floor it is so strong. Amazing. I have come to the conclusion that the bagless styles just aren't tough enough for me. I am a happy pet owner and live in an area where dust and dried grass are year round problems. I have gone through 4 bagless vacs in the same price range as this one in the past 10 yrs. Never again. What a bargain.

We did a test between a more expensive 500 series and this one. What we found was it picks up more dirt . While we really liked some of the additional features the 500 has ....the bottom line was more suction in this little fellow. We named him , Broomhilda . Picked up dog hair on the hard surfaces and crumbs. We need to know where to get replacement pieces? Brush sweep...etc.

Adopted a puppy and all of a sudden it started shedding! Saw this vacuum at a great price and decided to give it a try. It was a perfect vacuum for pet owners. It does great on furniture, carpet and hard wood. I would highly recommend this product. Previously had an Oreck upright (older model) but needed attachments. This vacuumed much better than the Oreck ever did.

We have 2 large dogs that shed a lot. We vaccuum every day and this is the first cleaner that has picked up all the dog hair imbeded deeply in the carpets. I would recommend this to all pet owners.
